I have been working out 5 days a week and eating protein bars, powders, ect for about 3 years now. I took about 2 weeks from working out and eating extra proteins as in bars and powders. I started back to working out again and eating the bars and powders again and I'm not able to keep them down. Every time I have a protein bar or powder I throw it all up. Can anybody explain this or give me any advice on this situation. Thanks.

thats pretty weird...
Do you throw them up as soon as you eat/drink them or nce you begin to workout?
Check the expiration date on your powder too....
also, does the taste bother you at all... try using a different type/flavor.... and make sure youre not over dosing it

i kind of get the same feeling sometimes when i rush to get a shake down, especially if it's really thick and nutrient dense. i would suggest eating/drinking slower. try washing your bars down with a gatorade or some type of juice since most of them taste like crap anyway.

Do you drink milk with your shakes? Maybe you're lactose intolerant?

Otherwise I don't know why it would cause such a problem unless its pyschological...

Same problem

Same thing happens to me after a workout. I mix two scoops of protein powder IN WATER and can't stomache it. I mix ONE scopp in WATER and can't stomache it. I tried different protein powders and still have the same results. The only thing I can stomache after a workout is Isopure protein that comes in a bottle. I just work it in the budget and buy a case every payday. Another thing is that maybe you are overtraining? Just a guess.
