I've been practicing for a semi-pro football team lately. I've been throwing an awful lot of passes (not cause I'm a QB, just have an okay arm). Anyway, I was at a party and one of my lifting nemisis (sp?) decided to challenge me to an arm wrestling match. I beat him 2 of 3 and I thought was all good. Three days later I've never felt such pain in my elbow/shoulder.

I bring up throwing the football because it feels like I'm overworking the arm, with the throwing and wrestling.

Are there any excersizes to help with the "span" of the arm for throwing purposes? This severly pain hinders my lifting program.

one thing i tried that worked a bit was to mimic the motion of throwing the ball with a cable with very light weight. and lot's of ice when your resting.
