sesame seed oil

I was watching my GF cook last night and noticed she was making a stir fry using all natural sesame seed oil. I read the bottle and the ingredients were nothing but pure sesame seed oil that had been pasturized and coldpressed. What I was wondering was if it would be possible or OK to buy this from the grocery store and steralize it in the oven like we do gear and use this as a cheaper alternative?

you could as long as its in active or inert. this will prevent it from storage build up of bacteria and virus, ro even mold. Remember its a food product it can get old and get bad if stored but yet a store bought idea can be serious if you intend to inject it, consumption is a less sterile way to intake so i would say its risky.
There are a few ways to do it.
1) heat it pan, slight boiling
2) filter and filter again with .45 and then .22
3)storage container must be vacuumn sealed, vial with air removed etc.
4)Grapeseed oil storebought can be used with better success, and its lighter.
done this way as above will produce a better yield and a lighter substance.

ive used store bought seasme, steralized it, vialed it, and baked it, and I did not have a problem. Make sure it is extra virgin and contains nothing else. Although USP grade seasme would be a much better idea.

To be honest I would just use usp grade. It very easy to get on the net at so many different sites and online stores.

ditto...there's already a fair amount of risk in just doing homebrew...let alone sterilizing the oil yourself and hoping it stays sterile.
