How long have you guys been at this?

How long have you guys been at this? I have been working out for about two years, Im still wet behind the ears compared to some of the guys in the gym. Especially when it comes to supplements. I hope that with enough research,(I have been reading the hell out of anabolic 2004) and guidence, I can become a better indivdual in the gym. Are their any other books that have helped you guys along the way?

Thank ya much!!

Excellent reads! 12 years in the game for me

steroids 101
building the perfect beast
anabolics (all of them)
any internet info i can find
static concentration workouts (very good book)

been lifting and cycling for 7 years

about and hour and half for me..i read all the stickies and wanna do a cycle...i was thinkin drol,d-bol,winni,tren and 10,000mgs of sust an hour...

(for any newbies this was just a joke)

12 years lifting here but started BBing at 24 now I am 28 and I try to learn something about lifting and my body every time I am in the gym

i bullshitted around in the gym for about 2 years before i got into diet and training right...ect. it's been 2 years for me, but i love to learn about anything related to lifting and whatnot. as far as books and such, i think they all have their place...even the mags. it's just sifting through the b.s. and finding the truth and what is best for you.

I my self have been at it for 10 years 3 years cycles and have read the hell out of evrything i got my hands on. But just in the last year i have found that steroids 101 is one of the best info books for gear........as far as lifting and goal setting the one by Dorian Yates (can't think of the name) but was great to look at.
Always keep yourself updated and always changing things around seems to help for me. Hope this helps.......stickpony

I have got a few good gains naturally and tried A.S. once. I'm not sure if I should wait till I plateu naturally then try again, or bust the gates wide open. I know there is a right and wrong way to supplementation and bodybuilding, I have just got to get the knowledge down. Appreciate the book advice Cold Bear.

Thank ya much!!

Doubt that you can find Ryan's book unless on a forgotten shelf in a library. It was written in the late 60's early 70's. It was the 2nd real introduction to real weight lifting that I had. The first was Strength and Health Magazine, defunct circa 1975. I do not count the weider course that my dad purchased for me in 1971.

I could probably say that I "started" when I was maybe 9-10 years old when my Dad bought us boys Arnold's Education of a Bodybuilder. I was always trying to be fit even at an early age, and I was always in awe of Arnold's physique. I started lifting in high school at 14 years old so that makes about 21 years weightlifting. I've been a serious bodybuilder for eight years now.
