im going to Rome in a week in the middle of my cycle last minute for work, getting my shit in is not the problem, i dont wanna pack pins, can you buy pins in italy over the counter. Also what are they laws on gear and ant-e's?

You should be able to fine everything there with no problem, but do you search...I don't think they have strict rule about gear in Italy as they do in the states....

I believe Rick Collins' book addresses legality in different countries, doesn't it? Or has he only written it for the U.S. only? I need to get that book...

Obviously, you can't take pins with you on the airplane--they won't allow it. I went to Brazil to visit family down there and had a prescription for methyltestosterone (brand name android) in pill form for the time I was there. Of course it is different with me since I have a valid medical use for it, but I didn't have any trouble with customs either direction. I suppose if you did have a prescription, you'd be okay.

Another option might be just to express mail some pinz to the hotel in Rome and held for you. I know folks who use this approach in the US.

Would anyone at the airport care about a syringe separate from needles? You can't hurt anyone, and you, of course, use them to measure the liquid vitamins that you take so you need to take them with you. That would leave a very small package to mail.

They wouldn't care about the syringe if that's all there was because they are only plastic. If you have the needles with you anywhere, those would be confiscated whether they are separate or not. They ask you if you have anything sharp with you, and if you lie about it and it is picked up when the baggage goes through the machine, you'll get in a LOT of trouble. Your best bet is to get the pins in the country you will be staying in.
