Human Study - Milk

As many of you know I'm a fan of milk. We know that babies can live of it. Many question if it contains hormones. Some say it even causes androgen effects. Nevertheless, since I'm always blabbin about how its a cheap bulking source, I'll put it to the test.

OK, for all the teens here wanting to gain and say they can't, for all the skeptics, and mostly for myself here we go....

THE PLAN

I'll keep up to date posts on the journals here at MC starting Monday, and vow to drink 2 gallons (7.56L) of milk everyday for at least 2 weeks straight. There will be no gear, no supps, and I'll consume a high protein, low carb. diet as well. Training will be heavy, low reps, no cardio, 45 min. a day, 4 days a week.

Before Monday please give me your input on which Milk product to choose, any stats you'd like kept track of, times to drink, ect. Please don't give a bunch of negitive reponses if you think I'm an idiot for doing this because I already know I'm nuts. Once again I would like to know for myself and figured I'd share it with some folks here if anyone is interested. The goal is to gain muscle and strength, no cutting on this one. Here are the choices converted into 2 gallons / per day.......

1. Skim Milk

So there it is, this outta be fun, I may never drink milk again after attempting this one. OK when you choose, please explain why. Don't everyone choose whole just to see if I blow up into a lard ass. I'll try my best but whole milk verses skim will effect my solid food consumption. Having said that, it really makes no differance to me as long as I get more results. I'm 5-9 190lbs. now, I'll post a Journal and weight back in Monday. I'm thinking the milk and 2500-4000 calories of solid food a day should yield a .5 to 1.5lb. a day gain. WISH ME LUCK!

I love milk as well, I use to drink a galon of whle milk every day, my wife then my girlfreind thought I was nuts, she then moved in with me and then as many know she dictated what was bought at grocery store so, since she drink faggy ass 2% milk, I stopped drinking milk, I do believe it was great for me and cheap protien,well not that cheap but as far as protien goes it was,

I say drink whole milk bro, its the best one out there
 
my wife tried to get me to drink rice milk but i threatened to burn the house down and she now lets me drink what i want...go with the whole milk bro...and keep us posted..this is interesting
 
I agree lots of sugars and fat if you go with whole milk. I'd use 1% and also, if your really serious carry it out lomger, 2 wks isn't gonna tell you much........oh yeah your nuts!
 
When peeps say they cant grow its comes down to one thing......... THAT THEY DONT EAT FOR SHIT!!! I hear people compalin "Man i cant grow at all and I eat like a horse"..................now thats some straight up bull shit considering if I sat them down next to me for a day and watched what they had during the day and compared it to my meals it would show that they dont eat enough and are not getting right sources in........ So when a clown claims he cant grow.... then bozo needs to step up to the F*ckin plate like most of us and slam 6 meals a down with the right amounts of carbs and fats.

Profits, you didn't vote. I know what you mean by the food thing. I've packed on 30 lbs. drug free in the last 12 weeks with food but sometimes a little fellow can find it much easier to drink major calories rather than eat them. Especially on the run.

Sugar = 384 grams, although thats alot it will be nearly 100% of all the sugar in the diet. Additional carbs will be low also as posted. I don't have any health conditions for sugar. Maybe it will produce some strength.

brew, if I get great results I'll go longer but 2 gallons is a hell of alot to drink, I figure say 256 ounces, 12 hours a day, thats 21 ounces every hour (gonna be hard to sneak in a cold beer). I have considered even setting the alarm a few hours a night to get a more stable protein source (per hour). Thats why I wanted some opinions also on when to drink.

I chose whole milk............but if you really want optimal results from a milk product get ORGANIC GOATS MILK. More digestible than cows milk. Contains all the neccesary bacteria needed to form colonies of beneficial bacteria in your gut which in turn leads to optimal nutrient absorbtion.

Increased nutrient absorbtion = Greater protien assimilation, better and more steroid molecule conversion, Immune function boost, better and more efficient waste elimination, disease resistance and so on.........The list is too long.

Pastuerized and processed milk eliminates the beneficial bacteria that we were meant to ingest.........but mass production doesnt allow for optimal health.

Properly fermented milk doesnt contain lactose. Properly fermented milk contains galactose which is what we are suppose to ingest and is not intolerable by our bodies.

Ok so I went on and babbled.......but I just get ticked off when I think how food and our health has become a business where our countries economy banks on us being unhealthy.
 
Quad, Many may argue that one can get better gains from a high fat diet than with a high carb diet, you'll notice I'm not doing both. To assume you'll have big gains with little of either just isn't reality. I know whats in milk. Even if all the horror stories against it are right (transfer of hormones, ect.), then great, moooo. Things I've done and places I've been, I can assure you I'm not afraid to consume milk, and you can believe that. Fat doesn't turn into a big stomach for everyone. Nevertheless though I'll assume your vote is for skim as it contains near 0 fat.

Cyphon, your right on about goats milk. I'm not sure if its affordable or easy access to. There are some kick-ass exotic milks out there. Reindeer milk is hard to find but would really pack the pounds on a fellow extremely quick as it contains like 32% fat (compared to whole milks 3.25%). They say a Bears milk is the most potent on earth but who's gonna milk that bitch.

Thanks everyone I think I'm going with whole milk if I can stand to chug down 4672 calories with a few meals everyday. Gonna give it my best! Outta be good for gaining a pound a day anyhow. Even if I gain alot of fat I'm still curious about the strength gains. I know most of those guys on the "Worlds Strongest Man" competitions eat alot of fat, you can see that.

Well, I would imagine that you would gain a lot of fat with that muscle. Probably 50/50 or lower.

All of that sugar is going to create a big insulin spike which when combined with the high levels of fat it will pack on the pounds all right, but not the good ones. lol.

All in all bro, I wish you luck in your experiment.

I would go with 1% or Skim myself.
 
I posted / started my journal with a bunch of information and theories. I'll go whole milk so the extra fat will pack on more muscle. Hope to gain 15lbs. in just 2 weeks. Check it out brothers and sisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck that this works or I may be a diabetic in 2 weeks.


Bigger, hope you're right about the 50/50, I'll take 7.5 lb. muscle gain in two weeks anytime.

Bought 8 gallons today at the store and the lady asked what it was for, I just couldn't answer her cause I was laughing to hard thinking to myself how I could tell her "Im gonna drink 2 gallons a day to see what happens."

Luckily, I own 2 full size fridges. 8 gallons almost fills one.

normally I'd say go w/ 1% but since you're drinking 2 gallons I'd say skim, more protien versus calories and since it's more watery you'll have an easier time chugging all day. Good luck bro, I'm with you, milk is great!
