SCHWARZENEGGER URGES BAN ON STEROIDS USE IN BODYBUILDING

Speak for your self Governor, he is a hypocrite, that's all have to say....How does he dare to speak of other athletes when he knew the only way he was gonna win was using supplements and he expects others not to do that....That's just had to believe....

I watched the news the this morning and he admitted to taking AAS and says he would do it again to get where he is/was. However, hind sight is better than foresight and he probably has some regrets and feels that maybe they are becoming to big of a player in the sport...who knows but I can tell you I think its is strange but I don't think any less of the man for it.

After listening to him speak at the Arnold I pretty much believe that all he is doing is making a very political statement. Who knows, he might be against them after all, but to me it just sounds like a political move.

i agree!

I would have to side with what TT is saying. This is a way for him to strenghen himself with voters thats all.

How does making it a Political move justify it?

If it's just a political move then I truly feel sorry for a man who's willing to compromise his own values and beliefs.

If he is truly against steroids than he and everyone else should keep their opinions to themselves because we all make our own choices about our bodies just as he did when he was in his younger years.

That's exactly it, Zylo. Doesn't it seem true, or a 'politician kind of thing to do,' for a politician to compromise his own values and beliefs? This has to be a purely political thing for Arnold to do since he used AAS himself and would use them again. It always seems to be that a politician's nature is to be contradictory to the point you don't know what the hell they actually stand for except that they want the voters' support.

Definitely a hipocrit......now he's starting to look like a real politician.

I can hear it now:
"I put the pin in, but I didn't inject"

Look he's trying to do what he thinks is best and at his age he prob doesnt feel the same way he did back in the day. He doesnt have that lust for lifting anymore. He is caught up in the idea of becoming a known politician and is willing to make compromises to get there.

It's not exactly a compromise. He said he wants to get away from the size game in the sport...and if you ban steroids that is basically the only way you can get back to juding aesthetically rather than pure size and freakiness, but in the end this statement was made because it appeases the voters at large. lol.

Personally I wouldn't want to try and compete on that level. If there was a way (which I don't believe there is) to be assured everyone was clean I may have reconsidered years ago. But as it is now and has been since I can remember, I couldn't afford the drug bill to compete nor would I want to put my system through it. Its wonderful being able to minipulate hormones and I'm all for it, just wouldn't want to go that far.

I was also surprised by his statement but I guess he's just wanting voters and Hollywood to know he doesn't endorse using. Everyone seems to be focused that he was only using to compete. I'd like his test results from his movies also. I really don't care what other people want to put in their system, at least they look better than a crack whore.. Competition however asks "how far are you willing to go to be #1?" Someone wealthy, great genetics, hiring a team of chemists and trainers? Even though the largest guy isn't always the best pick, the audience is going to have a problem with freakshow not winning.

who would arnold be with out juice.....a thick man with a thick accent....no terminator, no conan, no governor no nothing....steroids made the man who he is today...he wouldnt have won the olypia that many times, if at all! He owes alot of his success in every part of his life, past/present, to steroids alone. his is a hypocrite....plain and simple

if that's the case then he should stop the Arnold Classics. We all know that all the bodybuilder that enter the competition are all juiced up. So in a way he is promoting the use off aas by having this competition. But he won't do that because the show is his legacy. All the politicions all around the world are selfish f**ks. i bet you he still does little cycles every now and then. look at him. the whole government is on a roll to bust people who use aas. so of course he's going to back em up all the way. why would he care about us anymore he already got in the office.

Bignick..........

i second your opinion bro, he is full of shit, he would have nothing he as withour part of it being do to results from his use, and he ha sno heaklth issues and i dont give a shit what he says with a slittle as they new of nutrition in his era, niot supps and such he was dosing quite well and pioneered HGH from what i hear
