Anyone else ever get edgy in the gym?

So for the most part I'm a pretty laid back easy going guy. I love going to the gym and I'm always pretty pumped to go and in a good mood.

Today though, I was in the gym and I had this overwhelming feeling to out lift every bro' there. I don't even know what came over me. I saw this guy start lat pull ups and I walked straight over to the bar after he finished his first set and I smashed out as many perfect form reps as I could. I even hung at the bottom for a second and held myself up at the top for a second for added effect. I wanted him to know that it was my fuckn' bar. I then threw on the weight belt with some plates and kept upping the weight each set. The whole workout was like that. I just saw people doing lifts and I pushed myself to the limit today to be the strongest bro' in the gym. It was like the gym was my territory and I wanted every guy in there to know that I owned it and he was a guest on my territory.

It was crazy :)

I had a great workout though ;)

Anyone else ever feel like that? It's never happened to me before.

Yeah - I get that sometimes especially when you need to bitch slap some punk and show him who's boss- especially working quads...

i get like that on tren, but not just with the gym, kinda with everything...mmmmm tren.....Lmao

territorial pissings huh? I have to say...that is funny though....i often feel like that....i always feel like there is nobody in the gym who is half as hardcore, nor do they know half as much as me....But the sad part is they bring it on them selves.....

"dude we can do chest 4 days this week....get fuckin huge!! yeah!!!"

okay im turning into zylo now.....moosahh...moosahhh!

Be careful zylo. Had the same feeling my first cycle and my shoulder will never be the same because of that mentality I fell into.

I've fucked myself quite a few times because I've felt invinsible...(namely, a back injury that has left numbness, and terrible pains from time to time) showing off isn't a good thing, but having a hardcore mentality is

I get that feeling sometimes. I look at what the other guys are lifing in incline or leg press or whatever.

I remember seeing these pretty hardcore guys doing 3 plates on flat bench. It was my incline day so I decide to put 3 pltes on incline without a warmup. Damn near fucked my shoulder completely off.

Sets of 3 Wheels on Incline? That's huge bro' Nice!

I'll be happy when I can do 3 wheels for one rep on flat bench!

I'm not the biggest guy in my gym by far so I couldn't out lift a few people I know there even if I wanted to, but sometimes there are only "wannabees" there who seem to show up every now and then--they'll come for three months then stop coming for another three then show up again. I was doing my normal barbell curl sets one day when I put my heaviest on (115 lbs) and started cranking out my set in good form when I hear whispered behind me, "holy sh--!" Three of them had stopped to watch me and were in awe, and it felt like I 'owned the place.' I couldn't help grinning because I normally don't get that, and I have to say it felt really good.

 Had my ass handed to me in the gym last night! It was cool though, the guy was just pushing me to keep up with him and there was no way in hell I could :)

LOL

Funny guys ............ I always feel like I own the place but I been at the shit 16 years LOL

Just train hard as you can boys, no one gives a shit hwo much you lift but you, it is all relative and some are just naturally mmore blessed with strength than others.
