How can I resize pics?

I have some pics saved in "my pictures."

I'm trying to post them but it says the file is too big. How can I resize them so you can see pics of me?

Try downloading Irfanview from download.com .....thats what I use!

I downloaded that thing that Missfit suggested but when I save it as 400X256, I do a save as - same in my pictures again, but it comes up as coloring, not Irfanview?

you can take the pictures put them in a bath tub full of water and then try to resize them once they are soggy and more flexible.....i always let them sit in the water for overnight....hope this helps
