There are some good posts in the injuries section of the forum on shoulders. Hope its a strain and don't use it till its well or you could be screwed a very long time. If it doesn't heel in a few days and you have insurance go see the doc.

I am definatley not new to shoulder injuries. I've hurt my right shoulder twice and my left shoulder once.

You need to take at least a month off from shoulders bro' And Chest. I know you want to keep at it, but you are only going to hurt it more and be off longer.

Rest up buddy. Get your diet in check. Hit up cardio. Hammer your lower body and let that shoulder heal. Then start off light again and slowly work back into it.

Hey
Im a physio assistant and i can hook you up with some exercises if you would like.

Theres something called the supraspinatus.
It is part of the rotator cuff capsule that holds the shoulder blade in the socket and helps with rotation.

One of the key signs for supraspinatus is pain in the front and top part of the shoulder when placing your hand behind your back. There are different programs you can do to strengthen it. If youd like some ideas on some exercises let me know and ill see if ican put a program together for you. You are going to have to rest as well. Any socket or glide joint needs rest to repair or else your gonna have more and more and more reoccurances of shoulder pain. Your shoulder also is hurting for a reason. It hurts because the muscles and ligaments and tendons arent strong enough. YOU HAVE to build these up and strengthen them or your gonna be back into pain within two months again.

Let me know if you could use some help.

i'd love to get some help from you fitchick. about a year and a half ago, i had a clavicular stepdown, and recoupped pretty good from it, but now that my strength is up again, and i am doing heavy weights with bench, it is really starting to hurt, but in a different place than normal. id say that right in the middle to distal end of my clavicle is killing me, not the joint, the ligaments. (if i had my anatomy textbook on me i could probrably tell you the ligament). just give me a PM with a few exercises for my SITS. i'd talk to the school trainer but he is gone till next year because varsity sports are done for the year. thanks.
