hey guys so this weekend i got into a little scrap with a couple guys,, adn on my last punch to teh final fuckers head i hit this dumb bitch right on his jaw ridge adn connected just with my 4th knuckle,, right when i saw how i hit his ass i knew i got a standard boxers break fucking broken hand,4th meatcarpal, first bone ever broken here too,, so i was wondering if any one has had this type of injury adn how long it took to heal,, and when it did what percentage does it heal back to,, adn is there anything i can take to strengthen my bones other than growth,, o yeah sorry for the typos, i usually hit like 70 words per minutes,, but with teh one hand action ....well u get teh picture

That sucks Bro. I'm not sure how long it should take to heal, but try to limit using it and Glucosamine may help over time.
look at it this way now you can use your other hand i know your use to using two hands...frustrating when your that big. Big guy typing one handed. I hope you feel better. I remember when i got thrown from a horse had to where a patch on my eye. You should have seen my face i said oyfeh! I looked like a meeshkite.

spelling isnt my strongest subject its my key board sticks and i try to type fast but I'm no where near 70 words aminute. girls from the north are a bit slower than guys. we do every thing slow. Some peole might say were a bit NYeve.

bro i have broken almost every damn bone in my hand..it can take anywhere from a few weeks to months and months if you keep reagrrivating it...mine has never healed correctly from constantly hittin something or someone and will have to have it properly set and maybe even operated on by a doc...my hand looks like there is saw dust floating in it LOL take the time off...go see a doc..mabye even get a small brace to keep it still..quadzilla said:

Its easier to just wrap um up and start breaking bones. Never had a break only cuts and sprangs. I've learned to save my hands for other things. I'd get an X-ray and cast if needed.

oyeah i gopt x rays just to confirm and to try and get a cast at the er. they didmt have an orthopedic doc on hand to wrap it,,dumnb fucks,, so their like go there to hit me up for more money,,so i dont know what im going to do cause i dont have insurance but its a good clean break right behind the knuckle, so they said that was good,,, i guess i need more calcium.,,what sucks is how am i going to do bent over rows with 100 pound dumbbells or 50 or even 20 wtf
yeah! if you have a break dont ya think you should put a CAST on it. ................................................... whenI was a dealer in the casino people would come up to me when i wasnt working and say break, break and I would say but i dont deal black jack. Why are they saying that to me? a way to solve me eating to much in the cafiteria and there harassement problem. When i wasnt at work....

I don't get her jokes either not sure what the purpose of them are but to each his own. Just so you know you cant put a cast on smaller bones. sometimes they just put a splint and tell you not to use that hand until it heals.

anyway, sorry to hear about the break quad. I had the same break on my foot. doctor put a cast on, two weeks later while in california I cut it off... been fine ever since.
I think you can get some wrist wraps that cup the dumbell. There used to be this guy that had no hand (pipe bomb) and he would workout fine with this thing on his wrist.

i think you should REST
small bones such as carpals take the longest to heal. Sometimes they will do a casting if possible but usually just half slab splinting to stabilize it. I suggest you go get it checked out though theres alot of nerves and tendons and ligs in that that can have severe long term effects from carpal/ metacarpal fractures.
