When im in offseason and im taking in like 5000cals a day and only training once im alway so lethargic. always tired and i never wanna do anything. its really hard to motivate myself. granted im pretty heavy in the bodyweight area but still you think the less activity and the more fuel in your body you would feel better.

now for contest im in the gym at 5am doing cardio for however long, then im on low low cals like 2500-3000 a day with low low carbs , work all day and then back to the gym for weights and a bit more cardio then cooking meals for that night and the next day. on top of this you gotta go tanning and shaving and posing and still try and have some kinda life. its funny cuz i always feel more ambitious and fired up and motivated when im dieting and i just seem to be able to tell myself to " get off the damn couch and get doign whatever i gotta do" better then in the offseason. the numbers and theory doesnt add up but its just the way it is. just thought id give my two cents.

committment is the drive that fuels you durring this time to get up and do whta it takes to make it to your goal bro'.....off season is not nearly as hard...putting it on is so much more work than taking the excess off with out losing what you worked so hard to gain....you can do it'...jsut a few more weks left..Md

I'm the same to when bulking. But in theory, being lazy, besides lifting, would be best for keeping and gaining new muscle.

I know how ya feel. You think that since your taking sooooooo many carbs you should be ready to go, full of energy. Thats def not the case. I feel like i have a dimmer switch on when i'm bulking and the lights only get turned on comepletely when I hit the gym, otherwise its on half way the rest of the time. I dont get the unmotivated feeling to lift, but I do feel tired and lethargic when bulking. I def sleep better, and feel all around better then i'm dieting down for the most part, lol.

brotha i feel exactly the same way and have almost the identical schedule as u

I share your pain. I get home at 9:00pm at night from the gym and tannning and then I have to fix dinner and good for tomorrow, feed the dogs, get my stuff ready for the next day, then cardio before bed.
I am so tired these days, but I think its worth it.

Sure seems that way doesn't it? IMO, I think it just shows that the body needs a certain amount of activity in relation to calories.
