Does know if there is such a thing or is a carb a carb?
I read labels that talk about sugar alchol and how these are not counted as carbs. Its kinda fishey to me.

From what I have learned by doing a little research is that Sugar Alcohols are STILL carbs but they are just more slowly-absorbed or something like that. So I wouldn't recommend eating a whole bunch of these before you go to bed. Also, if you eat too many of them, they will give you the Hershey Squirts if you know what I mean :saywhat:

Yes, sugar alcohols are still carbs, however, they are not absorbed because of their modified chemical structure--thus the "Hershey Squirts" if you eat too much of them as strongpointe85 put it. That is why they don't count them.

No, not all carbs all created equal. Carbs you have to worry bout comsuming to much of are High GI and Low GL carbs like white rice, whit bread. Also make sure you take in fiberous carbs when you eat nofiberous ones. SO eat your green veggies like asaragus, green beans, spinach, broccoli, etc.
