That's pretty impressive, how much hcg were you using bro,? i know nolva has water reducing properties and somehow suppose to lean you out a bit, but not heard about the gains...I guess it won't hurt to try it out sometimes
 
Is it possible that you still had test running in your system during these weeks? You know test enanthate stay in your system for about 2-3 weeks after constant injections.

The nolva probably does help a bit, however, with the amount of free test in your system
 
I believe that nolva increases IGF along with free test in your system. That could be what is responsible for what you are experiencing. Typically, one doesn't really gain from using nolva alone so it could be in conjunction with the end of your cycle since you still had some test and then you used HCG.

I started HCG and Nolva exactly 3 weeks after my last shot. I weighed 170lbs @5%

1month and 1week later, I am 176lbs @4%.

I don't believe it but I have gained 6 lbs of muscle, even with a reduced appetite. My strength is through the roof. Went from benching 315 for 2-3 reps, to now an easy set of 6. Easily put up 350 the other day. I am sure that the Nolva is responsible for the gains. I take it early a.m on an empty stomach, one hour before the gym. My workouts, and my pumps are amazing!! I got better strength gains now, then from test and winny combined?? I can't quite understand this.

Anyone else ever have such results from just Nolvadex??


Maybe you accidentally mixed your nolva with Adrol! LOL! Crazy bro, I've not had that happen, but good for you. You are lean as a mofo, careful staying that lean for too long. Not many can do it without getting sick.
 
Nolvadex is an estrogenic blocker. It is, in itself, a small estrogen compound which binds to places where estrogen should not in the male body (breast). As such, thats the reason why its effective against gyno.

Regarding leaning out, estrogen itself causes adipose accumulation, and is stored in this tissue as well. Hence why those who are always leaner will gain more mass quicker (unless you are a genetic freak of course), as estrogen isn't in excess as someone with say, 25% bodyfat. Estrogen also causes water retention. As nolvadex goes to work, competing with free estrogen in the interstitial fluid, for allosteric receptor sites who want this hormone, it binds to it. Now you have estrogen that is just floating around, doing absolutely nothing.

As such, sub cutaneous water accumulation isn't as great. Since estrogen is ALSO an antagonist to testosterone, if its not bound, then testosterone you could say is more 'potent' in the body and able to do its job better. Leaning out is easier to do in terms of water retention, but Nolvadex does not increase protein synthesis...its estrogen, albeit a small amount with an affinity for the receptor moreso than free floating estrogen.

As well, exogenous testosterone will not simply 'disappear' after a couple of weeks from the last shot. Since the young adult male makes approximately 200 mg/wk with only a VERY small amount ever circulating throughout the body (about 50 mg), it takes longer than you think for it to be cleared.

For instance: If you are taking 500 mg/wk of enanthate. Day 14 you are at its first half life, 250 mg (example). Day 21, you are at 125; day 28, 62.5 mg, etc etc. Sure, your body MAY be producing approx 200 mg of endogenous testosterone in a week, however the body still registers the 125 mg of test thats still there at any given point, so you are still benefiting.
 
So really, you shouldn't even be taking clomid or nolvadex for PCT until the 3 week mark to make a smooth transition. This is also where tapering comes into play for the old school vets, by decreasing the amount of test per week, your body notices that free floating levels are dropping and it starts its own endogenous secretion again, so by the time you are actually starting PCT, you should already be on you way with your own test production. But by taking your ancillaries, you'll amplify the effect to recovery, and keep more or you gains.

Its all theoretical; most who have done it, swear by it. HCG is also a very big no no for actual PCT, and its proven to shut you down even harder than gear does if you use it in conjunction with nolvadex and/or clomid. It has to be run after or just before your last shot but stopped before you start nolvadex/clomid. This is pretty much maximal recovery, and could greatly recover you and let you keep gains if your cycle was pretty heavy. There are also other guys who swear by taking in abou 3 grams of tribulus a day throughout the entire cycle and then use clomid/nolvadex and report keeping even better amounts of hard earned mass.
 
That is still amazin to hear about the gains you made from nolva.....but i bet people respond differently from substances....

It is just a forearm shot, but basically it gives you the kind of idea of vascularity one looks like @ 4%..and actually my bench is now up to 360...Have not competed in a strength comp. in about 3 years now, but still have 5 first place finishes under my belt.

Great vascularity and looking swole, but unfortunately you are not at 4% bodyfat. Anything less than 3% is fatal to the body, and only the most extreme, such as Rich Gaspari pictured below, could ever reach such a state. Even then its only sustainable for a few hours before your body goes awol. Most pros who show up shredded are at the 5% range. When you get down to striated glutes you are talkin 4% total body fat.

Not to come down on you because you are certainly lean and mean, just wanted to clarify.
