Also, if you vent with a hypo needle, even at lower temps (250 say), the needle will soak up heat very effectively and damage the bung, causing it to no longer 'close up' properly. At least, this is what happened to me on two occasions...
that is correct...are u baking something for a reason? if itssterility re-filter into a clean vial and its sterile. heat will causebreakdown of many thingsandruin yourvials as well likebefore mentioned, and the plastic on the needle will melt too.
no need for baking imo.If youre using presealed vials then theyre already sterile.If its the oil youre worried about then presterilise it and cool BEFORE the conversion.
If you MUST bake stuff,then use open vials and sterilise yourself.That way you wont have to worry about melting the rubber(which will happen without doubt)
