My wife, daughter and friends have been giving me wholly hell over the fact that I bought a sewing machine and learned to use it. So I figured I'd give ya'll a chance to laugh at me too.

I got so tired of going to the tailor and spending 25 bucks to have them alter my shirts that I went to Wally world and spent 100 bucks on a sewing machine. It took me a while to figure out how the hell to get the thread in the machine (I had to read the directions)but after that it was easy.

After a few months of doing alterations on all of my shirts I can do one in about 15minutes. In this short time I bet I have saved a couple hundred bucks, my shirts fit better than they ever did from the "professionals" and it's easy.

Yeah man, i say why pay someone a rediculous price when you can do it yourself. Exp if it doesnt take ya long to do it.

I would rather spend the money. I get pissed if I can't get something right away or if it's not perfect. Sewing seems like it would test my patience too much.

I can. My mother taught me everything when I was a kid - to sew, to clean, wash, cook, etc. She said that one day I would be a grwon man on my own, and I'll need to look after myself.

Well, I've seen lot of your pictures, and not one is in a skirt. So I assume they are Mace's skirts. LOL

AZ1, I tried to teach both my wife and daughter to sew and they just don't get it. It reminded me of trying to teach my wife to drive a standard shift car. She wanted to go fast so in her mind she should be in 5 th gear.....All the time. I could not help but laugh.
