Best blood pressure med?

My bp seems to get too high when I'm on. I was thinking about taking some lisinopril, but it is expensive. Can anyone reccomend a good bp medication with few sides that won't cost a fortune? (I know I'm asking a lot here)

I like propronalol (inderal) I have no idea what the cost is but this stuff lowers BP and even works well to reduce anxiety.

You rule Cyphon. One more thing, how much per day ( I can get 10mg or 40 mg tabs)...Dirt cheap too...

Start of with the lowest dose and check your BP........it's a beta blocker that lowers BP and is approved for anxiety disorder.

Heres a small description of inderal (Propranolol) for those who care:

Used to treat high blood pressure. It also is used to prevent angina (chest pain) and heart attacks. Propranolol can be used to treat abnormal heart rhythms. Propranolol is also used to prevent migraine headaches and tremors.

Do you know if your bp raises because your cholesterol gets too high? If it does, you could always go with policosanol, niacin, or even eating a lot of oatmeal instead of getting prescription meds.

I eat oatmeal twice a day. Hard ass oatmeal too (I'm Scottish). I think I'm gonna try some Inderal. Kills anxiety too!
