worried about a bust

some people in my area were busted this week not only for aas but narcotics as well . but i am afraid that shit may run down hill because there is a song bird in the bunch and you never know. anyway i cleaned house and was wondering what to do about my computer can i reformat it or should i just hide it too.any help would be appreciated really sweating hear , all this shit went down today like 10people so far and supose to be more tommorow.

if your that worried bro, clean house not just of stuff, but of receipts and mailing receipts and W|u order stuff, anything that can link you. even phone numbers. |No matter what they say to you dont talk to them or give them anything, if they threaten or harass ask to talk to a lawyer. If they say u dont need one your not under arrest then say its because they are harassing and placing u under duress and you want to sue and contact IAD (internal affairs department). they will back off immediately
as for your computer, thats another story...maybe somebody can help you with that, let all cyber accts expire by not using them.

one quart of gas and a match will clean your computer of all memory. I cant say tht it wil be good for anythign lese again after that though. Md

This is a good question. When you guys switch to new computers, what do you do with the old one?

I was thinking like brew, letting the rain clean my computer. Will this work for sure?

a friend of mine says that reformatting the thing with the original set up disc will wipe it out and start like you just got the computer.dont know will try it today.

That won't do anything.

You can format, wipe and clean 10000x's and they can still pull up all the info you had on it. That's if they really really really want to know what's on it and feel it's very important.......

If you're really worried, I'd just smash my hard drive, burn it and take it to the dump if you're that worried..... Clear out the house and stay clean for a while.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it but that's just me. I don't worry too much...

When you reformat, it has to be a long reformat with it also writing 00's or (FF's--hex code) in every sector. That permanently erases any trace of data on the drive--they can't recreate anything. It takes a long time, but it's worth it.

If you need an explanation of why that works, I'll oblige, but for now that should do.

thanks for all the help i think for now i will take it to my parents aleast until i think every thing is ok.i may not have anything to worry about but where i live narcing out is a big thing because the scared dumbasses think it will help them get out of trouble.

If you are gonna format use the long format instead of the quick format....but be safe in other words...or get a desktop shredder software that shreds everything from history to links to page visited...
