Abscess building...

I've got a small bubble, pocket feeling thing in my right quad, where a majority of my quad injects have taken place.

It feels as though a small grape. Not stciking aout, maybe 1/10 of a grape is sticking out. You can't see it, you can only feel it. There is no pain whatsoever.

Should I stick in a 20g and attempt to drain or leave it alone?

I was the one who posted several months back that when aspirating that same area, this white/pink fluid came out in the syringe.

that sucks bro. I would probably personally leave it alone for awhile, however I've heard of some people lancing their own abcesses. I've tried to do that to what I thought was an abcess, but couldn't get any fluid to come out. lol. All it did was make it hurt. lol.

i once had one there too, i stuck a 23 g empty syringe in there and withdrew some stuff, kinda like what was described. usually u will have to go see a doc, i told mine it was a splitner i got shoved in my leg or a piece of cactus or something and they gave me some awesome anti biotics and it went away.
just an idea. you can try it but its most likely a abces due to scar tissue and the failure to absorb into your body. u can try like i described and see if its pink or dark blood, they both mean somthing dofferent.

if its like u say it is, use a 25g 1/2 inch and withdrawl if the blood in the syringe is dark its an infection, if its a lighter color and redish not dark then you have an oil abcess, this being oil or foreign substance is still there and part of that is whats being withdrawn.

If it doesn't go away or gets worse get some antibiotics and\or see your dr. If you can't tell him the truth then tell him you had a splinter like CS mentioned, or just let him diagnose it on his own. He'll prolly look at it, push on it, maybe drain it then give you some antibiotics.

Well, I once got an infection from a shot on my leg. My doc was really cool and knew what it was from so he gave me some anti biotics. He also sais he prescribe me some more. In case I "fell on it again". Not sure if this is allowed or I am crossing the line here. But If you need some I will be more than happy to mail you some. The infection whent away in one day. The anti biotics do have a bad smell to them though. Well either way good luck and hope its not serious.

How often have you been doing the injects in that place?

No more than once every 8 days. And only that in one cycle (16 weeks)

You probably already know all this but just incase.

Is it red or pinkish in that area? Does it feel warmer than your other leg in the same spot? Do you have a fever? Is your appetite off?

If you have any of these it MAY be an indicator of infection. If you do not it does NOT mean that you 100% don't have an infection.

No infection at all. No pain, no warming - nothing. I would even know except one day I was massaging my quads after a light workout and I felt a small pocket, it's IN the muscle. You can't see it, only if you press the skin in. I have lean legs and it doesn't pop out at all.

OKAY, UPDATE:

I used a 1 inch 25g.

First off, I noticed when I hot that area, I couldn't even feel the pin go in, like it was dead. When hitting that area, I have A LOT of scar tissue and all I can feel and hear is that popping. Not here. it was weird, like it was all soft inside.

So I went to pull. I managed to suck out maybe a tenth of a CC of this extremely white fluid. I was using a 25g so it was hard to get this stuff out. I emptied and smelled it. It smelled like a bottle of stale amino acid pills.

I went in again and tried a different area. Got another 1/10 CC. Repeated as above.

Did the whole process about 5 times and got about 1/2 CC all in all.

It's weird, the fulid was pink in some areas but mostly white. I would comapre it's consistacy and color mostly to semen, all joking aside. Like if you hadn't nutted in a while, the real white and thick stuff.

Tasted like semen too. Okay, that's a joke. I wouldn't have tasted that junk to see if it compared to semen. Okay, that's a joke too.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like pus. Maybe a visit to the doc isn't such a bad idea. It's weird that it didn't hurt. Any chance in appetite, fever, etc?

go see a doc bro, u need anti biotics and some professionl opinions.
I got one from scar tissue and told the doc i got a cactus in my leg tht spot didnt heal or maybe something was still in it.
she was cool and gave me anti biotics and it healed up and went away. i told the doc i work out with and he said maybe it was because of scar tissue or my stuff was dirty, dirty will leave a puss like stuff in the area, hot and warm and even red to the look, but an abcess is just a lump and can be drained with its fluid looking clear, due to scar tissue not allowing absorption in that area or a high injection volume.

so thats what i found out for ya bro...go see a doc...if you have an emergicare then go there is confidential and tell them u hada splitner go in thereand u got it out but now u have that.
let them figure out whats best for ya, or tell them the truth. either way get it taken care of bro

Some anti biotics should clear it up, yes?
