Bowflex or total gym? Anyone

For the money the Bowflex exteme is good, i've used it but do not own one, if you just wanna do rehab stuff it's fine.

For the money, the bowflex is horrible!
You can get a rock solid gym with a heavy weight stack for less than the price of a flimsy bowflex with some light weight rods that bend out of shape and lose their resistance.

Cyphon, who is going to be using the gym and what is their main goals?

Post up some more info for me and I'll point you in the right direction.

I honestly wouldn't use the bowflex(unless I was getting it for a heavily discounted price or free)...but like crank said for the same price you can get a nice weight set.

I have a friend whose bowflex rods actually snapped. Not good.

A friend of mine was in a car wreck and had knee, elbow and back surgery.....He cant handle the impact of weights and I thought maybe one of these two would allow him to take baby steps into recovery while minimizing potential for injury.
