Is it time for a new routine?

For the past 2-3 months Ive been following a routine that looks like this
M Chest, Shoulders, Tris
T Back, Bis, Frms
W LEGS
T Chest, Shoulders, Tris
F Back, Bis, Frms
S OFF
Su OFF
Just like that, for example I always do Back before Bis and Chest before shoulders on those days. The reason Im thinking of swithing up is becuase by time I get to the Sholders or Bis part of a work out Im spent and cant get that muscle "as" pumped. Should I try something like this?
M Chest, Back, Tris
T Shoulders, Bis, Forearms
W LEGS
T Chest, Back, Tris
F Shoulders, Bis, Forearms
S OFF
Su OFF

Does the First or second workout look better? I also would like to add that the reason I am hitting muscle groups 2x per week is because Im on cycle right now.
600 Test E/Weeek & 400 Eq/Week Last 6 weeks is Winny @ 50 ED.
Any help would be great!

Are you not making strength gains on your current?

When I notice I'm not making gains in my journal it's time to switch up routines.

Im not making "good" strenght gains.... But no size at all! By time I get to Triceps on Mon and Thurs my triceps are SPENT, think about it. AND... since Ive used that muscle so much it isnt getting pumped, same with my Bis on Back days....
In a nut shell, my chest and back are fine, compared to everything else.

Its been drilled into my head that sthrength gains = size gains. If your making them, you're doing what you need to do to put on size. I understand what your saying about not getting that pump with the shoulders and bis, it's exactly the same for me.

When I started to get big, it was when I logged everything and kept consistant w/ attempting gains in weight forst, then reps second. Two workouts in a row I can't get past a weight, time to switch. This is the only way I know how to get big.

It looks like you MAY be over training.........for years I did alot in a weeks time now it is one body part per day once a week and it is'nt much either. I just have to hit the muscle right and I'm good. Right now to day on scale 6'4" 280 but not ripped. I have had a hard time uderstanding it but sometimes take a week off and change routine every 2-3weeks helps. Not sure but it seeems to work for me and I am in my 30's . MM

Personally neither one would work out well for me. I can keep my intensity with that many bodyparts. I would try to focus on 2 bodyparts per day and not 3. And then just have 1 rotating day which will allow you to train 1 day 2X a week. Like the routine i posted back a while ago.

You might be over training a bit.

I work out four days a week now and do a split (legs; Back/Chest; Arms; Shoulders/LowerBack). Most of the days, I will have 48 hours between workouts so I can recover.

I only recently set up a separate arms day because by the time I got to my arms I lost a lot of steam, so having a separate day allowed me to hit them harder (enough to get tennis elbow so I dunno if it really helped any.)

But, I find that I SHOULD change my routine every month or six weeks. This can be changing the exercises, or even changing how I split things up. So mixing things up is probably a good idea, especially if you are not making strong gains.

I also believe you may be overtraining. Take another look at the Growth Principles sticky from BigA. Take the training down to three days so you can give yourself some time to recover and see if that helps. Sometimes less really is more. I've been following what BigA outlined, and I'm making amazing gains in strength in my legs and starting to show more gains in their size too.

i dunno bout yall, put personally, i cant work out chest then tri's then shoulders, ide be worn out, i fill that i can work out chest, Maybe shoulder, and leave tri;s for some other day, but thats my opinion

Yep I think Monday I am going back to the good ole.
M Chest
T Back, Forearms
W Legs
Th Shoulders
F Arms, Forearms
S Off
Su Off
On my "shoulders" day I might throw in 3 sets of cable x-overs to keep my chest in check. And on "back" day throw in 3 sets of preacher curls for my Bis too.
Hows this look? This will sure as hell get me in and out of the gym quicker.

Thats important to, i make sure i get in an done in an hour which can be difficult at time but necessary to keep growing. Cortisol is def the enemy and it increases the longer you sty in the gym.

I see guys working out verything twice a week, EXCEPT legs! IMO, if you can't take leg training 2x a week, then the rest of your body isn't ready for 2x week training. IMO, pros should be the only ones training everything 2 or 3 times a week.

I realize everything is easier than legs to train, but if you can get in two workouts a week for one part, you either A. Have too much free time or B. Your not hitting those parts hard enough.
