Bros,

last year when I bulked, Ive estimated I put on about 40lbs......more than half being fat. I feel this is unacceptable and has caused dieting to be much more difficult this time around.

I did diet much better this time though overall, keeping all muscle/strength. Now I need help with bulking and staying lean.

This is my last week of dieting.....I have a post in the cycles forum with details of my last 3 months of dieting. I am doing cardio 5-6 times a week and weight 3 times a week. Intake this week is 2000cal, 300pro, 90 carb, 50 fat.
Next week I will take off cardio and weights. Then will resume with "bulking" program of weights 3 times a week and cardio 2 times a week and maintain this winter. My intake will go up to 2900cal, 365 pro, 180 carb, and 70 fat.

I need opinions on bulking and staying lean this time around. I dont wanna pass 12%bf. Last winter, I was about 18%....maybe higher now thinking about it. Im probably about 9-10% now. Should I "carb cycle" 1 or 2 days a week upping carbs while maintaining the 2900cal intake the other days? Could this "refeeding" help keep fat off and my metabolism high while slowly gaining muscle?

Should I simply maintain and not try to add mass until I do my winter bulking cycle? Would appreciate input from guys you stay pretty trim offseason like Presser does.

thanx in advance bros. I always experimenting cause as we all know, what works for some in this game damn sure wont work for you.

i always keep my protein in the 400's even when i am cutting.....its hard to do but you gotta eat lean.... I do cheat days with high carbs to keep the metabolism in check but other than that i really keep the diet pretty simple and cardio is key. What kind of cardio are you doing?

The intake listed is on non training days. Add 70 pro and maybe 100 carbs on training days.
I done "mat ot" before but changed it to 30min at about 70-75% of max the time cutting.
I thought I lost too much muscle doing the max ot, but that may have been due to diet.
I plan to mainly do 30min 2 times a week and maybe do HIIT sprints if I feel like a change. Either way, it sucks the same too me. :) and I don't think the results vary that much. I did no cardio when bulking last year.

And I eat nothing but clean foods year round, with max 1 cheatmeal a week.

bump......

any thoughts or ideas on what I should bump my calories up to next week? 2900 as listed or should I aim a little lower....like 2500 and up it a couple hundred a week from there?
