Uneven Shoulders

I tore a rotator cuff like 6 years ago wrestling. I went through therapy and everything. Started hard at the gym a while ago and noticed I was not proportionate. My right shoulder is like the size of a bowling ball, my left a soft ball, my right trap normal, my left is peaking like a pumped bicep. I don't know what to do about it, I tried extra exercises in the smaller areas and they still do not work. I am sure my form is well, even went strickly to machine for a while, strickly free, I am out of options I fell. Any advice?

I was going to suggest getting the smaller muscles more stable like you probably did in theropy, but I see you've already tried that.

I've had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder (labrum/subluxation). After my first, I noticed that my left just didn't sit correctly compared to my right. After it happened again, I worked my physical theropy extremely hard and it worked wonders. My shoulder sit correctly. I'm currently working my theropy from my 3rd surgery and it's looking good.

I'm sorry I can't help more. Do you have someone watching your form?

there is not alot you can do about proportion in muscles short of surgery, at this point you have tried alot of different things, and none have worked. the only thing i can suggest is to not treat the unproportionate muscle groups any different than the other side, train them the same, and over time they will begin to to look normal again. and i wouldn't worry about it anyways, unless you are BBcomps, and being judged on your symmetry. good luck

Did you ever see a RMT.
I did for my delt and it took a good year before it looked close, now it almost 2 years and most people can even tell,i have a hard time when i look at it.

I've heard you have to train each part separately from the other (cables or dumbells) so that the lagging side doesn't get help from the other side. One side of my chest is a little bigger than the other, and I have been working with dumbells to help make it even--seems to be working because it looks much better than it did.

Are u a rightie? I had the same problem too years ago. My right was much bigger than my left even the arms. Then someone suggested that I use my left arm exclusively to train it to be a leftie. I carry stuff with my left, open and push the door with my left, and do everything with my left including cooking and eating. It took couple of months but that really helped amd now they are ealmost even. Hope that helps.

Yea, thanks for the input. I have to do something with this, even my right side lat is bigger. I will try working the sides separetly and some other shit too. I feel like a fiddle crab.

ilmc, I'd almost rather be smaller one one side than try to train myself to be left-handed, lol. Good input, hard I would imagine tho

LOL, I hear ya bro. It was tough at first because I always started using my right hand and then realize that I need to use my left hand instead. Probably easier to teach a monkey how to talk if you ask me lol
