Top 3, and bottom 3 of our lifestyle choice (BB)

What are the top 3 products we get out of this BB lifestyle? And on the same token, what are the worst 3 things that come from all of this that we do?

Top
1)Being a better person (for lack of a better term). I love the fact that I have a brutal workout that 99% of people wouldn't even attempt, and even fewer would make it all the way through. I like having that self control and knowing I can deprive myself of things many many people can't. I love being a strong willed person when so many people in this country especially are very, very weak willed individuals. I like being in control and constantly practicing.
2)Appearance, I love looking like I do. I love being the big guy in the room, I love taking off my shirt and showing off (in a tasteful manner).
3)Attention, almost goes w/ #2. I love when I make a girl turn and do a double-take. To a much lesser degree I like it when a guy is impressed with what I've done w/ myself. I like the fact that a girl who would've been out of my league 7 years ago, doesn't think she's in MY LEAGUE now (which of course is not true, I have very low standards).

As you can see, I'm not above saying I'm partly in it for vanity purposes.

Bottom
1)Unwanted attention. When I'm not in the mood, I hate getting asked question about what my regimine is. I hate people asking me what they should do to get shoulders like mine, especially when I know they wont do a single thing I suggest. Also, when you go out, the drunk guy usually want to make a point by assuring he's the toughest guy in the bar and isn't afaid of anyone (even the *thumbs pointing to myself* big guy).
2)Being too big during some points in the year. I've been kicked off roller coasters because they wouldn't lock me in. Sitting in a backseat of a two-door is fucking impossible. Don't get me started about getting a middle seat in coach. Sweating from seeminly just breathing, etc. Just being self admitantly too big at times.
3)Gear factor. Fear of being 5cammed, getting an infection, high BP, acne, infection scares, the illegality factor, etc.

All in all, the positives outweight the negatives like I outweigh my maltese dog named "Fluffy"

Lets hear you fellas and ladies.

Of fuck, you know what, strike #1 out of my top and put I love being on test more than breathing air, lol

Positives:
1-Knowing that you can take your body to a point that a very miniscule portion of the population has been.
2-Being able to compete day in and day our with your toughest competition...yourself!
3-Gaining the discipline only a BB can have. Shit, who else diets for 16 weeks, trains like a mad man, all for 30min on stage. That is dedication...

Negatives:
1-Not being able to sleep at night. When my metabolism is flying, no matter how tired I am, I just lay there and stare at the ceiling.
2-Missing holiday dinners when training for a show. Missed thanksgiving and my b-day last year...(it was worth it though)
3-As Jaywooly said, the sweating. Ketosis is a motherf#$&#r. My wife says I smell different too.... :drooling:

Pos.
1-more self-esteem. Never had alot growing up
2-attention from females. Never had alot of that growing up either
3-self-assurance; if I know I can diet and train to look how I do, I know that I can accomplish other difficult things in like.....work, school, family, stress, etc.

Neg
1-dedication required. Sometimes I would just like to let the diet and training go and not have to worry about a routine. But, when Im off my routine, I feel guilty. Its a catch-22
2-questions about how I do it, and my replies which will be forgotten
3-the fact that NO ONE I hang out with works out or diets and doesnt ever understand where Im coming from.

Pros_1. Self confidence, knowing I won't let myself turn into a fat pear shaped bag of crap. 2. Females dig a dude without man tits, back fat and a beer gut. 3. refer back to #1.-it all boils down to that in the first place, feel better in a mental and physical aspect.

Cons_1. Eating all the time, I hate eating when I am not fucking hungry, takes time and money. 2. On training days I go to the gym, no getting home from work and sitting around the house until bed time or getting hammered all the time anymore. 3. No fast foods or crap like sweets in excess. 4. Having to tell people I don't do steriods cause they look at it like I might as well have a heroin problem!

1. Self Confidence
2. The positive attention from everyone.
3. The gym is a place for me to not only get out all my aggression, but to get my mind away from all the other BS that comes with every day life.

1. Eating/Diet
2. Limiting my Jack Daniels intake
3. None of my friend/family understand the lifestyle

this one is hard for me to....I drank ALL through highschool until I started training near the end of my SR. year.

Alocholism runs in the family, and I definitely got the gene. I would be a full fledged alcholic if it didnt hurt my results.

Well I don't have the gene, but it's definitely fun going out and drinking a few (dozen) with your buddies. Definitely puts a damper on the night when you're the only one worried about how much you drink. It's worth it though. Sometimes you gotta go all out, but there are definitely nights I switch to water after 2-3 drinks.
