Test + Deca after Var cycle

Hey bros new to the forum and I have a question. My friend is on his 8th week of a 80mg/ed var cycle. He has gotten great strength gains and wants to continue into a test/deca cycle to add mass. Is it safe to roll into it with it only being var or should he go by the time on time off rule? He is 26 been training since 18 and is 6'2 235 and has multiple cycles under his belt.

Welcome to MC!
What is the longest cycle your friend has done?
What kind of test is he using?
I see a test/deca cycle running for at least 10 weeks so that would be 18 weeks total and 3-4 weeks recovery for a total of 22 weeks. Does your friend have adequate liver protectants(he should already be taking them) and adequate PCT?
New more info bro..

He has ran fairly long cycles one i know of extended over a 10 month period which he later regretted. This is his 8th week into a var only cycle and is having the whole want to still keep growing attitude "which we all get lol" hes planning on starting a 200 mg cyp 300 mg deca this week for 10 weeks while running the var 2 more weeks. He swears he grows off of lighter doses. Should he pct after the var then wait 10 weeks to hop back on the sauce or is var soo light that he can extend it with the test and deca?

I'd say take time off....8 weeks @ 80mgs is quite a bit....I can't imagine that his liver is completely healthy at such a dose....Not the brightest idea in the world to run 80mgs with a 17aa oral....unless of course a transplant is high on the agenda....Take 8-16 weeks off.

Ouch- I missed that dosage. 80mg is indeed a lot of var. This changes my advice. He needs to rest his body and recover. Why would he have taken 80mg of var? Even for me who has been using for 20+ years, I have never used 80mg of var.

His concern wasn't the liver issue but more of how effective the test and deca will be after the use of the var without time off. He's had bloodwork done that showed his liver numbers were normal and has the liver protectants he needs. In the past he decided to stay on and figured it would be ok but at a certain point he stopped growing and actually started losing size and 2 grams of gear test/eq. All the gear was good too. After taking a long break he doesn't want to make the same mistake. The reason for the high dosage of var was due to a good buddy of ours in china :) and with the prices be that low high dosages are hard to look away from. Which i guess led to the more is better attitude. So by continuing into another cycle be a waist of gear or a decent cycle. Thanks for the advice bros.

Var is pretty gentle. 80 mg/day isn't crazy if that is all you are taking. Folks stack 40 mg/day along with 2grams of other gear.

Var will mess with your endogenous test, especially at those doses, but it isn't gonna shut you down as hard as other gear.

18 weeks doesn't sound crazy long to me.

Don't power lifters start with VAR for a month to help with their tendons and then go into a real cycle?

Yes they do , but this guy is neither a powerlifter or competing.
In that respect, I think its best to stop and recover , start fresh.
I think I would have a different outlook if he was competing or a powerlifter.
If he is losing size taking 2g's of stuff, then its a better option to stop, recover and then go again with the test and deca.
My two cents.

I agree and IMO for any type of good results I think Var needs to be run @ 100 ed.

Tough Old Man - I didn't think that VAR was that tough on the system at the doses that folks normally take. It is basically the most gentle AAS out there. How long have you run it at 100 ed, and were your liver values OK? I have read that the bang gets bigger as the dose gets bigger for VAR, but I was curious at what point it starts to have the same negative sides as other orals.

Big Daddy - if your friend stopped gaining weight, it probably had more do to with FOOD than the GEAR. I find that it gets really hard to eat tons of healthy food all the time. After a couple of months, I start to slide a bit and stop growing. But my strenght keeps going up.

I try to do a quick cutter when I am sick of eating and drop som BF and get hungry again. It is a wonder what a diet will do to make you want to stuff a couple of more chicken breasts down your throat.
