Ok all through this site I have seen that I should work 1 muscle group one 1 per week. But within 2 days of a really hard workout I have no soreness , no fatigue or nothin and my muscles feel loose. So just wondering If I could work all muscle groups on mondays , wednesdays and fridays???

No, that's overtraining and you will actually start to lose energy and feel tired because your body can't repair itself fast enough.

Just because your muscle isn't sore doesn't mean it's repaired. Although, some muscles heal faster than others.

Generally, here is the rest I give my muscles. Remember we're all different.

MUSCLE GROUP - DAYS OF REST

Legs: 7-9
Shoulders: 7
Chest: 7
Back: 7
Triceps: 5- 7
Biceps: 5-7
Abs: 2-3

No, if your muscle is not sore, that doesn't mean that you didn't work it hard enough or that it has been repaired as Crank said. Can you post your full routine of what exercise you did at what poundages for what reps for those two days? If you are undertraining, we may be able to see that from your workouts, however, you certainly don't want to be doing a full body workout three times a week. That really is overkill.

i do 1 per week and have done so for years. the only thing i do 2x/week is calfs cause they dont really grow with just 1 wo. i am rarly sore. that just means your muscles are getting used to being torn apart once a week. i tend to switch it up evry now and then just for a change

Hey I agree with everyones advice so far. Use the 3 days, try dividing the workout differently, I do chest and back on the same day now, little tricks like trying different exercises, that really tunes it up, shock the muscles. If you have a weak area throw a little extra in for that day, for instance, my bi's have good size but not the peak I want. I threw the Larry Scott bi workout in on arm day for a few months and that did the trick.

Listen brother if your old like most of the brothers here 1 body part/wk is just right. ever since I hit 30 my lifting regime has changed extremely, when I was 20 2 parts a week was ez.

franco....this guy is young....like 16 or something I think.

And if I remember....he doesn't have access too good equipment yet....which is his problem.

If he can get equipment to squat, bench and deadlift with.....he will be sore alot longer than 2 days afterward.

At your age you are prime for putting on alot of size. Just hit heavy basic movements and eat a ton of food, don't forget to do a little cardio for heart health. When I was 16 I weighed 195lbs at 5'8", 48" chest, 25" quads, 20" calves, 32" waist 15.5" arms. I do agree with training calves 2x week. Remember time is your friend, just listen to your body and give it time to respond and you will be ok.
