Tough old Man

Where to start. Ok I ordered some powder from oversea. Because I live in Mexico and don't have an address in the U. S I have been having it shipped directly to the delivery company. Don't want to put there name up. Anyhow i have been tracking it and it came in the past week. So today I decide to go pick it up. I drive to San Diego. Get to the company and forgot to bring the tracking #. So there's 3 girls and a guy at the counter and they do there best and can't find the pkg. About 10 min's go by and here come one og the girls and say's i found it and states the receivers name and I hear it. She then hands it to one of the other girls and I see a letter hanging off the bottom of the pkg. The girl that hands it to the other says there's note on the bottom and you need to read it. About that time the girl looks at it and shows the other's. They all get together and leave and go to a back room.
.
Now I start thinking something not right here. About that time I state I'm leaving let me know if you find my pkg. Then i hear the guy yell out hold on. So he comes out and say's this. "This was your pkg but there's a new policy that only the Manager can hand out International pkg's". If I would like to wait they will call her at home and have her come in. I tell them no, that's fine I'll pick it up later. He then says well your going to have to call and set up a appointment up a day in advance along with a time. He then hands me the manager's card.

I have this sneaky feeling that I should just call them and tell them that I recieved a letter informing me that the wrong product was shipped and to have it sent back to sender.
I think I'd have to be a total fool to set up an appointment only to have customs agents there waiting for me to sign and take possession….What do you think.

Tough

I'd be weary too. Call the company's 800# and see if indeed they made a new policy.

I'd also call and fink out the manager's hours and just pop-in at one of those times if there is that new policy.

Stake the place out yourself... make the appointment from your car on your cell phone across the street and then see who shows up. If it starts to look shady, look for the phone company van parked across the street with the giant antennae on the roof... either that or find a homeless guy to give $20 to and have him pick the package up for you!!!

contact the sender and tell him that you feel your about to be screwed. Tell him the situatioin and ask if you can have it returned to sender and then make other arrangements for a future deliver. Offer to cover cost and kiss his ass alittle bit and he should corroporate as it is his ass on the line too. Then just call the PO and tell them that you werent expecting any packages from that sender and that it must be a mistake and the should shipp it back.

Definitely sounds like a setup. Why would only the manager hand out international pkgs? The post office hands them out all the time (legal ones anyway). You could order something else international like clothes or Swiss chocolate, and then when you go to pick it up, see if they really do have the manager hand it out (don't forget the tracking number). If they just give it to you, ask about the "policy" you heard about. Say you overheard them telling someone else the other day. If they deny they have a policy like that, then they were trying to sting you.

There should be a manager there on duty during normal business hours, which could give you the package when you went back in. Calling and setting up an appointment is only so they can get a hold of law enforcement so they can make a controlled delivery. I am 100 percent sure of this. DO NOT GO BACK.

I would call the companies corporate offices to just check for sure and see if it is a new policy.....if it isnt...then i would definately steer clear of the post office.....i would talk to your supplier about getting you a new shipment....if he wont then thats bullshit
