Posing music

I am trying to pick a track to pose to for my upcoming contests, so far I have posed to
Kanye West- Jesus Walks
Star Wars- The Phantom Menace
Pink ft Redman- Get the Party Started

This year I am looking for a powerful classical track to pose to, I have already picked a rap track for one of my routines as I don't like posing to the same thing each contest plus it gives me good practice by doing a couple of routines. ANy ideas greatly appreciated.
Ride of the Valkyries is a bit too obvious for me by the way

C'mon man, classic, classic posing song-Eye of the Tiger!-by Survivor. When the guitar and drums clash you can quickly throw into your next pose dude-perfecto.

Finephysique, this is just a suggestion, but I wouldn't have get this party started unless you have some special routine down like the fitness pageants have. Good luck!!!

I always have a routine timed to the music, I done Get the Party Started last year and the crowd went crazy, its a night show song to liven things up, for the pre-judging I am looking for something classical, too many people have done Eye of the Tiger now, I have an Ice Cube remix which I am considering though.

You know what will work best?!?! The one you feel the biggest surge to when you do it. That one will be the one where you come through!!!! Try a few and the one that gives you the greatest "high" stick with!!! This will be the one you will do the best to and good luck!!!!!!!!

It helps to have a piece of music first to inspire the routine, IMO. Is there a couple of songs that you find really motivates you or inspires you? If memory serves, I believe Arnold posed to Handel's Messiah once (according to his book). I'm not saying to use that, but if you can find a great song that you identify with, it helps you with the routine.

The last one I used was the Theme music to Spiderman. Not the theme song, but the character theme. I thought I would get poor response at first, but the more people heard it, the better they liked it. Got great scores at night too!!

TK I am going to get a listen of that tune now, I love powerful classical tunes, once I find the tune I can always visualise a routine pretty quickly.

Would love to see a posing routine to the Simpsons

You are correct- Eye of the Tiger has been used so many times. SO has Gladiator and so has that Usher song.. Argggg. Don't use a classical piece like Carmina Burana unless you are ready to bring it on. I used Van Halen last year, Staind the year before. I am torn between three pieces this year one is classical, one is rock and one is Depeche Mode. First show is not till August so I have some time. I am like you- my routine is defintely always timed to music. Good luck in whatever music you choose.

Agh the Gladiator three tiems at the last contest I done, Evanesence was used 5 times at the same show, I now officially hate the song and can't even remember what its called.
I am still searching but if all else fails its the Phantom Menace song have a great routine for it, cheers MMX
