middle rib pain

guys got a buddy that drinks a little hence the reason i thought this but he said hes got some pain on his right side bout middle of ribs. Said he thought it was pretty deepbut there was some puffiness aka swelling around bout the middle. i said well liver is right there but not a continuous pain he said when put pressure on it most bros on here are much more knowledgeble then me so let me know what you think so i can let him know a little somethin i just said see a doc. asap and describe the symtoms thanks in advance bros.

sounds like a job for a Doc bro, probably not enough info to try and diagnose could be any number of things...
