What's the Secret to Quad Injections.

Well I am just looking for advice. I did my first Quad inject yesterday and eveything went great at least I thought. I used 25G 1.5" and went all the way in. There was no real pain going in (nothing out of the norm) no blood on asperation and none on removal. I pushed 2cc 1of EQ and 1 of test
However, I am sore like I was beat with a bat. I worked out this morning and thought I was going to die walking around the gym.

It is sore to the touch, but there is no redness or swelling. What the hell is going on.

I usually due delts and had pushed the same as the above into the delt last week and had no pain.

Well hit me back with some tricks on this, I just wanted to add a injection sight.

Massage the area after injection...also taking a warm shower helps. However it's most likely the reaction from the BA that's causing the pain. After awhile you'll get used to it and it wont hurt as much if at all.

I've been shooting quads for a while now and for me the trick has been to keep the needle as still as possible when injecting, moving the needle around even a little will cause a lot more soreness. the other thing that really has helped me is to warm up the oil a bit before injecting. I fill a cup with hot water and drop the vial in or I'll run the pin under VERY hot water before injecting, this brings what you're injecting closer to your body temperature thereby causing less stress at the injection site. Of course massaging and heat applied after you inject always work as well.

I don't think you need 1.5" either unless your legs are really huge. Most go with a 1" pin for quads. Quads are a lot more sensitive than other inject sites because they have more nerves there. Be careful injecting them because if you hit a nerve really bad, you could end up like Presser did where his quad nerves stopped firing so the muscle wouldn't flex. It took him a long time to recover from that. He recommends not injecting the quads at all.

yeah I missed that you were using a 1.5" pin, that's a good point TK. And yeah Presser isn't he only one that has had a bad experience with them I've heard other horror stories as well and I've since stopped shooting them so often and added Pecs into the mix... still nothing safer than glutes IMO but they're just not as convenient!

Well I can tell you that I am not looking to do it in the quad again. I will stick with Glutes and delts

I injected quads for two cycles and had no problems. You really need to look at a website that shows the exact injection sites.

I always mixed my shots also. Never shot straight TEST or straight EQ at once. Used 1.5 but never went in the full way.

I bet if you tell us what brand the gear is it will have A LOT to do with it. I used to be a big fan of quad shots till I used a certain gear that irritated them, now I dread them, matter of fact, I had such a bad right quad shot once I havent gone back to that site. I now stick to calves, right glute, both delts, and my left quad.

i think quad injection problems are almost genetic.

Alot of bros hit nerves or say the quad is just too painful and never recommend it. Ive hit the quads more than anything and never had a problem. I dont think Ive even EVER hit a vein in the quads. Im also not very vascular genetically.

So I would recommend quads first, but thats certainly not the norm.

dude you think quads hurt... trying putting a cc of test p in your calf... yeah that hurts

You my friend are crazy, because at this point the needle is not going anywhere but the delt and glut anything else is just crazy. I walked around work to day limping like I got beat with a bat.
:dizzy:

It is funny though the pain has shifted from my quad to my thigh and down by me knee.

I would probably have to agree. I've never hit a vein or nerve, and I'm not very vascular either though when I do quad shots, they do hurt more than any other area I've injected.

thats because you are girly man :D

maybe they just seem to hurt more since every step you take, you notice it.

With glutes you dont feel much until you sit down and delts you dont have to walk around on all day.

Good advice, couldn't have said it better. Be still, I find that I move a little or find the pin sliding out alittle there is more pain that follows than normal. I alos use the heating trick, seems to allow the oil to flow easier and a little quicker and thus less time for me to move tha pin around. I put the capped pin in a glass of hot water while I shower and it comes out so much smoother than at room temp.

No one that puts it in the quad is a girly man in my opinion. My leg is finally getting to the point I can touch the damn thing again.

if you were in that much pain I have to say you definitely did something wrong... quads for me always hurt less than glutes because I could see what I was doing and reach the pin with both hands so there was less stress.

It probably had a lot to do with the 1.5" pin you're using. What brand gear are you on? Are you sure you're not shooting Prop?

Tornel Deca and Animal power Test Cyp I need to pick up some 1" pins I guess if I want to give it another try.

Thank you for the advice I picked up on a few things I need to try to do different.

You never realize how much you use a muscle until you shoot a little juice in it!!! Anyways, you probably injected close to a nerve and the juice is putting pressure on it. Plus for me cyp can cause a little injection pain. Always use a 1” pin for quads and really massage the site right after injecting. The first two quad shots are always painful for me, but after that it usually gets a lot better.
