A team doesn't just represent the players on the team. It could represent a highschool, college, city, or country. If someone goes to Syracuse but isn't on the team, they are still represented by that team so maybe that's the reason for the "we" comments...

i understand that, thats fine if you go to the school, but for example, this girl on my floor aat school talks about CUSE like that and we DEFINITLY don't go to CUSE. I guess i just don't get it, but it annoys the shit out of me when people do that, and then go get plastered and scream WE DID IT or WE WON....good job drunk girl, go have another drink on a tuesday night and then bitch about how youre getting fat....
