my girlfriend, who thinks she needs to lose weight (not the case), is trying isagenix. it really seems like a load of crap and doesn't seem very healthy at all. she already works out and eats very well. i tell her all the time it's not neccessary but what do i know. any opinions on the stuff is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a lot of overpriced crap. She could lose weight without that stuff and keep the money.

They are an MLM company....first they indroduce you to the product, then when you see the results they lure you into the business opportunity...and tell you, you can make a fortune and retire in a few years....you can spend less money and get the same results through diet and exercise...

If you look at the label on most of those products that say they "guarantee" weight loss like that have a certain ingredient in it (forgot what its called) and all it does is bind to fat that you consume and flush it out of you system. That may sound good to some people but if you don't take in your EFA's (essential fatty acids) and have it be at least 20% of you calorie intake your body does the same thing it does when you deprive your body from carbs; your body thinks its is starving and when you are finished with that supplement and you start taking in those fats it will still be in the starvation mode and will store more than you originally had.

So pretty much tell her the best and most effective way is first and foremost a proper and clean diet and secondly the proper training routine (lifting, cardio) to go along with that. For example, Ive been on a cutting diet/routine for almost 3 weeks now and have gone from 236 to 221 and most of it had been BF.
