OK, so theres a few friends of mine in my dorm tonight that have been asking me questions about lifting and diet and what advice i would give them about tryin to cut for summer. Whatever thats fine if thats what they wanna do thats understandable, BUT...when i start describing the type of lifting regimine and diet they're going to need to follow they start to laugh and say noone besides you does that and telling me im crazy and that they can't follow that training and diet routine. Does this kinda stuff ever happen with any of you bros with any of your "not so educated" bros? What do you do to convince them that youre right? I show them a bunch of backed up scientific data and info on this site but so many never listen. I just had to post this because so many so many people i know have been responding to me like this like im crazy..... :curse:
 
Yeah, I know a lot of motherfuckers like this. They think they know because they listen to the advice of a woman who works out to stay tone and or read a few magazine articles. I think most people grasp the protein intake of the diet but a few think that it will make them fat if they eat more frequently. They don't know much about the metobolic standpoint of the diet. They don't know much about fats, poly unsats, mono unsats, that sort of thing. Many don't know that a little colesterol and saturated fats is good in the bodybuilders diet. Well, thats why so many people want to be bodybuilders and so many just end up lifting weights! My best friend is like that, he got me into lifting about 5 years ago, he stopped and now he is a fat fuck. He does not take my advice and buys into all this crap his girlfriend tells him. The dude does atkins diet and eats salads and shit and won't listen to my advice but yet tells me I don't know what I am talking about. He also overtrains all the time.
 
yeah, I try not to even give people advice anymore. I was always trying to get my mom to lose weight. She thought I was crazy until she hit a point in her life where she realized how big she was. My mom has lost a ton of weight on her own (about 175lbs), but I wish she would have listened to my advice a bit so she could of been a bit healthier when dropping so much weight. However, whatever she is doing works so I will NOT tell her to do otherwise, but at one point she was reducing her calorie intake to about 1k or less per day. Not good for the body. At least now she's eating a bit more and excercising. She figured it out on her own. Regardless I'm proud of her, but wish some people would follow my advice.
 
its funny, you tell someone what to do and they ask why?

so you explain it to them. But then it gets "too scientific" and they dont want to listen anymore. Like its rocket science. Im pretty much stupid in all math/science related fields but even I can understand that eating more often speeds up your metabolism, drinking more water makes you hold less, etc.

if you dont want to listen, dont fucking ask.
 
your always going to run into these people,and the reason they laugh is because they dont have the dedication to do what u tell them just like when hydroxy cut first came out this buddy of mine kept asking what he should do and i would tell him to diet and lift,but instead of doing that him and his fat ass wife swallowed six pills a day.sat on there fat asses drinking pop and eating all day.after about a month of nothing happening they come to me looking 4 answers like it was my fault or somthing.so i told them to go fuck themselves and they have not botherd me since. easy and afective should have done that at the start.

Hahaha I've had to do the same thing with some people, I'm sicking of being the "Go To" person for anyone at work who has a question about fitness and diet, I'm flattered that they think to ask me before anyone else but it pisses me off that they don't listen or complain about the advice because it's "too hard."
Go fuck yourself is my new answer!
 
This HUGE chick asks me to give her a couple pointers while I was beginning my cardio. I was kinda annoyed cause I want to put my head phones on and just start jogging on the tread mill. So I said, You need a looooot of cardio, and stop eating so many carbs....lol.

At this time, Im walking at 3.5... which is my warm up while I put my head phones on. She goes... So what do you start this thing at? I said 3.5, thinking she's an idiot cause you can just look at the speed im at.

So she gets her fat ass on the tread mill- types in 3.5... starts walking and goes flying off... lol.

I turned on the mp3 and just started running.
 
I like when chicks say, I don't want to lift weights because I don't want to get all bulky like you. They think they will be like fucking Hulk Hogan from curling some dumbels every once in a while.

OO SOO TRUE GLEN LOL, every female that i bring to train with me always says that, everytime. It never fails and and never ceases to amaze me that they think that. I just tell them if it worked that way, Id be bigger then those guys you see on the cover of the BBing mags :saywhat:
