Ok so i have dieted and done cardio until it nearly kills me but i cant shift the last bit of fat from over the bottom two abs. Maybe i could go a bit further but i lose fat off my shoulders and chest etc at the same time and i dont want that. What do you think to Liposuction for that last bit of fat ? anyone done it ?

i would not even think about lipo unless you were tremendously over weight and/or exhausted EVERY possiblity. Like presser said, we can help you more if you give a little more information about yourself, such as current and past training as well as a detailed diet.

keep in mind tony that some of the best lipo work is done on patients who just need that little extra fat sucked out, though my personal opinion concurs with you tony, i personaly wouldnt unless i exhausted all other means of diet/fatloss

The only way to get rid of the fat on top of the abs is through diet (and maybe some aids), but the body has to get rid of fat in a preferential order. When you gain fat, it goes to the stomach area first, then starts to distribute over the body. When you lose fat, you body goes in reverse, trying to keep that fat around the midsection until the last. There is nothing you can do about losing fat in other places of the body before losing it over the abs when losing naturally.

I'm confused though...one would think you'd want to lose fat everywhere else as well as the midsection. Why don't you want to lose fat in the shoulders and chest area?

Totally right, last place youre going to lose that fat is over your mid section and thats going to be the hardest place to get rid of it and its esscential that your diet is completly in check or its going to stay there unforunatly. There cant be any cheat meals my friend :dizzy:

as the others said, you just gotta diet harder. i dont lose my lovehandles until last, even though I may already have a 6 pack. its sucks, but it is possible to get rid of.
