The only way to get rid of the fat on top of the abs is through diet (and maybe some aids), but the body has to get rid of fat in a preferential order. When you gain fat, it goes to the stomach area first, then starts to distribute over the body. When you lose fat, you body goes in reverse, trying to keep that fat around the midsection until the last. There is nothing you can do about losing fat in other places of the body before losing it over the abs when losing naturally.
I'm confused though...one would think you'd want to lose fat everywhere else as well as the midsection. Why don't you want to lose fat in the shoulders and chest area?
