Starting To Workout Again

I'll be honest, I haven't even heard of 1/2 those supplements. My advice would be to replace everything except the protein with a multi-vitamin.

The money you are going to spend on....

"waxy maize starch
alpha lipoic powder
ascorbic acid powder
betaine HCL powder
creatine ethy ester
DL-phenylalanine
L-arginine Base powder
L-isoleucine powder
L-leucine powder
L-tyrosine powder
L-valine Powder
Taurine Powder
Omega acids - the liquid not the capsules
N-acetyl-L-carnitine powder"

...would be better spent on a gym membership and more food. Maybe keep the creatine, but even that is a toss up with limited funds.

I agree. A young bloke like you doesn't need all these separate powders, especially the ascorbic acid powder--that's just vitamin C. Just get some good whey protein, eat a lot of good food, and go to the gym.

Seriously malic, you dont need to using all of those supplements man, like tony said, all you need is a good protien powder and alot of the proper food. Dont buy into the hype you see surrounding supplements man, most of them are garbage or just some amino acid blend that already out there for 1/4 of the price in a not so flashy bottle with a flashy name.

get creatine, glutamine and some protein and a meal replacement and you shoould be good to go...

this is what i would use
protein shake
waxy maize starch
creatine
leucine powder
also some amino acids and a good multi vitamin

bumpthat.

Malic I know you're doing lots of research but we keep telling you the same thing over and over again. You don't need all of this stuff it's going to be a waste of money. If you insist on reading the cheasy muscle mags that tout all of these products and you want to believe they help you then go for it and buy them all and stop asking us

My step sister and her husband bought me a bood called from scrawny to brawny, even though Im 31 and have been lifting and supplementing for the past 20 years, anyway one boring night I started reading it and actually its pretty good, I think theres even a web site, anyway check that out, I think it will help you.

whey protien/glutamine/mult-vitamin/food/gym membership. All those and you will be set, forget about the other products man, wait untill you get a job.

i agree with the others here.

i tried alot of supplements and they didnt do dick. I started actually eating a lot of good clean whole foods and only 1 or 2 shakes a day and thats it, and got real gains. I didnt have money for all the fancy supplements cause I spent it all on food, but food gave much better results.

think of it this way, supplements are an octane booster....but what will they help when there is no actual fuel in the tank to mix it with? You are left with expensive, USELESS, boosters.

WOW, thats some list!! I have only been around this game for about 32 years.
Started at 16. Have seen tons of supps come and go. (and tried quite a few -
those adds make them sound great) What is still around is Protien (good quality)
and a multi-vitamin. A good control would be to eat good and sup with protien
and multi-vitamin - after a month or so add glutimine or something else and see
if it makes a difference. If you want to try all that crap (sometimes adding something
keeps your motivation up) do it one at a time to see if it actually makes a difference.
Starting with all that you wont know what is working and what is not. At 16 you
got time bro.
