Protease

ok, I am not 100% on this, but here is what I'm thinking. It may very well help indirectly, but its direct effect will simply be the ability to digest more of a quanity of protein then you would without it. If I remember right from biochem (its been a few years) protease is a class of digestive enzymes that is only responsible for the cleaving of large AA chains into the smaller aa chains or single AA building blocks...basically breaking down the protein into forms that we can then use. So, by adding more of this enzyme I would think that you would be able to effectively handle and digest more protein at one time. Given that there are other factors that play into absorbtion rates other than just the presence of the AA, I'm not sure that it would really help in absorbtion that much, but I could be wrong.
