Okay so I know most the community is into serious (pro and recreational) bodybuilding but I’m curious to see if anyone else has other goals in mind in terms of body type. I myself don’t desire the “flex” look; I’m going for the athletic body type, slightly bigger than the “men's Health” so I picked the "In-between " option.

What's everyone elses goals here?

I gotta go with in between, only cuz I flex big seems so far out of reach... but it would be nice.

I don't really do what I do to look a cetain way!I lift to lift!!I love working out and being as strong and healthy as I can for as long as I can!I don't plan on growing old gracefully!! I will not go gently into that goodnight!I'm going kickint ass!!!!!!!!

hell yeah OT! I'm all about being big when I'm a lot older. don't think I wanna get old and brittle. I'd rather be rowing 405 when I'm 65!

i was first to choose flex big.

I dont have the genetics for that though, and even if I did I dont know if I would ever have the funds to be that big. IMHO, its unobtainable for me...but I still want that look.

I chose in between. I like the athletic look...like a football player. But not an offensive lineman, more like a running back.

Flex is becoming dull
the lastest contest coverage for amateurs is over a year old
come on fellas
Muscular Devolpment is where its at

Stoped reading that crap years ago - even now once in a while I'll pick it up and
it's the same old shit. I've been lifting a little over 30 years and my goal is to
get as big as possible. That means (in reality) I'm small compared to the big guys.
After all this time gaining 1/4 " is huge. Looking good for the old bags is about
as good as I'll get - that aint to hard cus most guys 49 are fat slobs.
Oh yeah, old broads are easily impressed. I'm 210 @ 5'11" and can see my abs.(49yrs)
Like I said always trying to get bigger but actually doing it is another story.

your my hero MC, I hope to be as cool as you when I'm over the hill like you!!!

Sandiego, your a funny little shit. Seriously - I'm proud to have lived this long -
when I was younger I knew I would never live to hit 25 (was a little wild)
I was in my mid 30's when I figured I'd better slow down cus I might be around
for a while. (now I'm married w/2 daughters -payback- and a exciting friday night
is getting caught up on laundry. ) Oh-well, I have a LOT of great memories and I
have to say reading Flex or Mens Health is not one of them.

I like the "old school" bodybuilding look. Like Arnold, Franco, Larry Scott, etc. So I chose FLEX because the men's health look is smaller than the "old school" BB'ing look. Even though FLEX is 3x bigger than the look I am shooting for it's still big hehe :)

That's why there is "in between" option. I want in between--bigger than Men's Health, but not Flex big. I don't have the genetics for Flex big anyway.

I feel the same way, I think Men's Health is what anyone who works out at all should look like at a minimium, I'm in Men's Health Shape now with a few weeks prep time, I could be on the cover. lol. So I went with the "in-between" option myself.

i went inbetween as well but prolly a little bigger then inbetween and a little smaller then flex looking, i would say i like the old school bodybuilders looks, where asthetics were key and not the blocky look, more athletic look apeals to me, my ideal body type is milo sarcev before he tryed playing the size game

Milo had an awesome build I was at the Night of Champions when he took Second place, I think it was 1997, i aggree he's gotten too big as of late and it doesn't suit him.

the middle pic of the 3 milo pics i posted is my favorite all time bodybuilding look, he has better ones i remember but cant find them, plus my body type is more suited to look like his then many other bodybuilders, meaning i dont think i can get freaky huge anyhows, lmao

yeah I don't have the body type to get freaky huge myself so I know what you mean... I just looked it up for Milo it was 1997 and he took Second Place, I was in the second row sitting behind Gregory Hines and next to Bev Francis, Dorian Yates was sitting in the row behind us right behind my ex wife.

Screw Men's Health. I got a subscription last year and they gave me 1 issue for 2 months(January/February) The issue said January/February,, what a f'in ripoff, o yeah not to mention they sent me $50 worth of books and said if I didn't wanna keep them then I had 21 days to send them back or they would send me a bill, yeah F&^*( them!!!
