Promise rings

Alright, I was a little curious if any of you guys have bought promise rings for your girls before you were married or if you were a guy like me thats 22. Anyways, I bought my girlfriend one for $383 after tax and a warrenty and its 1 1/2 carats, full diamonds with two smaller ones on the outside and one big one in the middle. So my question was if anyone has gotten their girl something like this and how much you spent. I went to JB Robinson jewelers.
 
Vert I love ya brotha but I don't get promise rings one bit... Your either all in or your not. If you’re in you propose; if your not you don't...so WTF is a promise ring? Like: “I like you a lot I think so I promise I'll be with you forever but I'm not sure so I won't pop the question”…… I don't really get it myself; perhaps you could enlighten me...

agreed, I dont get them either.

Is it like something women came up with to pacify them until "the real proposal"?

I figure, they can wait or move on, but there is no middle ground really.
 
yeah i dont like them anymore haha spent like 500 on one of my ex's for like 2 years and 6 months later we went our separate ways. I tried to get it back so i could pawn it but the bitch wouldnt give it back fuckin whore.

but seriously, I dont think I would buy my girl something like that, unless she had bought me something fairly equal in value. good thing it wasnt a $2000 ring, or she would have probably dumped you in a month and a half.
 
Never bought a promise ring before. Recently got engaged though and with the money I bought the ring with I could have easily bought us 2 all inclusive vacations plus a high def big screen tv but what the hell....

yeah i dont think i would have spent tha tmuch haha she would have said ohhhh thanks but i think we should see other people hahhaha. I would have kicked in her door for that one haha i would have gotten that one back for sure.
 
had you taken the whore to court you would have gotten your ring (or money) back for it. You are actually entitled to it if you guys go your seperate ways.
 
well we werent engaged or anything just a promise ring and i wasnt gonna take her to court over a 500 dollar ring. But it would have been nice to pawn a ring and get some goodies out of it. lol.

I have handed out so many promise rings it's sick! Thank the lord for Ron Popiels "fish-o-matic-geter-on-the-hook" $19.99 Zircon ring decoy. Looks and feels real. You can hand out 10 at a time and have great sex for up too 3 years before they really wanna hear " will ya marry me".

Then all you do is take the fake one back and hand it out too someone else :)

Start with a pack of kimono super thin condoms.
Year 2. Cigarettes
Year 3. Toilet seat
Year 4. 50" Plasma TV
Year 5. Doesnt matter by that time you wont be haven sex and the site of her will repulse you.
 
I think a promise ring is a cheap way to see if you want to check things our further without the big ring commitment. I bought one years ago and that promise sort of fell apart. After being divorced I made my current lady by me an engagement ring. ;)
