cycle lengths

so what do you guys think is the best length for a cycle? shics? or longer ones? lets get a discussion going
 
Totally agree.

After about 8-10 weeks of ED injects, I'm about ready to freak out.

For less frequent injects, 10-12 weeks is no problem.
 
I really feel its contingent on what your goals are.
My cycles are very long in general.
They have to be to get to where I need to be.
 
i totally agree with you mmx..i like longer cycles because i feel it helps you sustain the intial gains, the only problem is its hard to feel like a man after being on for 6months straight
 
I tend to go with with longer cycles for some of the reasons that IP mentioned.....in all honesty i jsut prefer to be on.....Md-
 
I just finished a 26 week cycle which is very long. I had a goal to meet and needed to hit it hard. It worked but I was beat when done! I usually go 12 weeks. I n addition I am on HRT and stay on test year-round anyway.
 
all depends on your goals. I personally will always stick with shorter cycles as I don't compete. I'll be doing a 10-weeker starting in Jan.

It does have to do with what your goals are as MMX2 said. I don't compete so I don't have a need to be on a long cycle (although I am on test year round for HRT--don't know if that really counts). I also feel that this cycle length is good because time off cycle is about the same as being on or shorter depending on recovery. It sort of keeps things in balance a little better so you don't go through that period of not feeling like a man after being on for six months.
 
i like longer cycles. Gains always seem to take longer for me to see, and longer to dissapear than compared to others. So a short cycle is kinda a waste, at least for me.

As far as competing, I don't have any desire to do so in the future. I have excepted my God given genes and know that I will never be able to get my pro card, that is just a plain old fact. So I have decided to stay in moderate dosages and not push the envelope so-to-speak.

My goals you ask, well I would like to maintain my 250-260 lbs at a presentable BF%, AND have a good sense of well being.


I understand the love people have for competing in bb'ing, but with my genes I would need to take an abusive amount of gear in order to compete where I would want to compete at and it isn't worth in the long run - health wise.
 
I would say it depends on the aas and goal. Short esters; then I would run that cycle for 10 weeks. Long esters; 15 weeks. I wont run cycles shorter than 10weeks and imho I wont run them longer than 16 weeks b/c of shut down. If your gonna run something longer than this I would just bridge and imho if your not a nat level comp or pro you dont need to be bridging.
 
I think if your competetive then short burst's wouldnt be the way to go.

On the other hand if your an average joe looking for some great ggains with minimal sides the short bursts can be awesome and rewarding long term. By short I do mean 2 weeks of total bombardment with fast acting gear. and 2-4 weaks off.

This will potentially keep you from going limp, bald and limp!
 
12 weeks minimum for long ester test. Depends on the compounds used and your goals. I know for EQ I need at least 16 weeks to get the benefits from it.
