I saw maquire play many times at wrigley field and the gear just made him hit the ball 600 ft.......had he not been on gear they would have only been 400ft shots.lol
There are a shit load of juicers in the league that dont hit 20 homers.....He had the talent to start with and juice made him better.

Although I hate baseball and cant stand watching it, i do know he was the main reason behind rejuvenating baseball, it was dead and in financial problems before he started slamming record number homers then him and samm sosa went head to head for the homers record so i say hell yes and truth of the matter the man NEVER ONCE ADMITTED TO USING AND THERES NO PROOF THAT HE EVER DID, what ever happened to Innocent Until Proven Guilty, seems like this country has things backwards these days

The only thing he admitted to using was androstenedione. That is not a real steroid, only a precursor which was _legal_, and yet suddenly people are saying "he was on steroids" when he's trying to get in the hall of fame. Utterly ridiculous!
