it takes some pretty good strength to rip a phonebook you gotta grip alot man. Get on offtopic.com and talk to crunk hes ripped decks of cards phonebooks hell you name it he has haha.

It's all in how you do it. You have to bend it so you're only tearing a small portion of the book and then it starts to get bigger but you've already got it going and the small part that was started is now taken away.

It does take strength, but technique is key.

yeah i know ive torn part of the smaller books you just have to like you said bend it it takes alot of practice.
