Western Union Help:

Sometimes, when dealing with idiots, you need to cancel your western union money transfer:

Its the first time ever for me, so maybe you'll never have to. But, im trying to save you from wasting your time, like i have just done. First off, WU and everyone that works there has no clue what there doing.

You call and cancel your WU order. You talk to one operator and they tell you to go to any location to pick up your money.

You go to "any" location to pick up your money and they cant find the mtcn number. At that location they tell you, that you have to go to the original location that you purchased the money transfer.

So at the Original location, they can find the transaction, but cant do a thing with it. So you call WU on the phone, after explaining everything to the operator (who's in mexico) they transfer you to another operator (who understands english better) and they tell you that in order to be paid, this is what has to happen:

cancel your WU transaction by phone. Then tell the operator that you want them (WU) to make YOU the reciever, and WU the sender for a money transfer in the same amount that your money order was for. IF they dont do this, your going to get the run around. They will call you back later when they get a new MTCN number.

the fees are g-damn outrageous...it cost me more to send shit a state over than it does to another country LOL...

try money grams...... they are cheaper, and pretty easy to use/send

money grams are the worse of all in my opinion, my buddy just had the ryn around for 2 days straight with money gram, the bitch who wrote the refrence number down wrote down the wrong number so the sender gavce my buddy the wrong number and my buddy couldnt get it to show up when trying to pick up his cash this past weekend, so when that happens ur suppose to be able to pick up your money as long as you have the senders name and the recivers name, well they couldnt find that either , it took them 2 days to figure out where his money was, he was suppose to use the money to get back to his home state, and he was stuck in jersey for 2 days cause of money gram assholes, and they wouldnt refund the sender the 80$ it cost to send the money knowing that they wrote downt he wrong refrence number qand knowing my buddy was stuck in jersey for days with no money,

That sucks. Sounds like he got porked pretty good. Ive always had good luck with them when ordering stuff, but never actually used them in a situation like that......

I have been waiting and waiting for someone to pick up a check from WU I sent and between problems with the people I sent it to and WU Im gonna go crazy!! The reciever was finally able to pick up the money after all their bullshit they emailed me back and said it was not available for pick up.... I called WU and they had sent it to a different country that sounded like the one I told them to send to!!! Now more waiting......
