Got my 1st tatoo last spring and it's time for another one. Due to my job I will be taking my wedding ring off pretty permanently in about 6 months, so my wife and I were thinking about getting some tattoos instead of the rings. Now I am not a fan of the wedding ring tattoo for several reasons 1) it rubs off, 2) you can't cover that up later. So I'm thinking about getting something written in Latin going around my forearm...not really sure what yet but it will be something that is important to both of us. We may be getting them tomorrow as we will have a day without the little ones. If we do get them this weekend I will post some pics on here.
 
nice bro let me know what you get. Ive never gotten one. I just cant think of anything id want for the rest of my life. Your reason would be worth it though. Forearm is kinda sketchy for me though just because you couldnt really cover it up alot in the summer.
Getting a tattoo on your finger rubs off? If so that might not be too bad it could just fade away once you got your ring back on permanently.
 
Well, they don't really rub off completely. Just smears everything so it looks like shit. IDK, the forearm thing I guess I can cover up with long sleeves, but not short ones. I'll let you know man
 
I would suggest to get something that means something to you personally. For my own reasons, I wouldn't get a tattoo that was shared with a significant other, but if you choose to do so, it might be a good idea to be sure it was something that meant something to you or something you wouldn't regret or mind having if (ever forbid) you should not be together in the future.

I give props to couples that do that though. That shows some serious commitment and most people can't/won't do that!

They're addictive, aren't they? I got my first one 5 years ago and swore that was it. Then I got number 2 less than a year later and swore again that I was done. Now I have 9. :eek:

I will probably never get one, but my little bro who is thirty two, got one last year and has about seven now. If I was I would get this from one of the affliction shirts I have. Check out the eagles in the top of the wing.
 
Ive always liked the tribals especially on the shoulders. I saw a cool one the other day. A guy had like armor tatted on his shoulders. I am thinking about a yellow rose. LOL. The worst I ever saw was my bald fat cousin's usda choice tat on his butt. talk about an idiot.

thank you! yeah def. addicting! I think im gonna add some outlining and shading to my tribal, to give it more dimension....
 
I have too many to post pics of them all, but here's my largest and favorite (if I absolutely had to pick one), my snowflake half sleeve!
 
I think so...thinking about this one around the upper part of my forearm...but I'm not sure exactly. "Amor meus amplior quan verba est" - my love means more than words is the translation - unless someone has a sense of humor and it really means "lick my balls you dwarf". I think it fits us and if things don't work out in the future it can represent the way I feel about my kiddos. So.....IDK
 
lol does it really mean that too? call me an idiot if that was supposed to be taken as a joke lol. Sounds like a pretty good one though man. Your right you could still have it mean about your kids. What font?
 
I don't know about the font. But I certainly hope it doesn't mean that...however I don't know latin so I can't be sure. That's something I worry about with putting it on my body, just a paranoia thing. I'm still thinking about the whole thing. Will let you know how it goes brother
 
While on a lot of test, i got one right on my wrist. Its kinda a f-you, in your face, im from d-town.....

After my cycle, i found myself hidding it. Its doesnt fit well with the day job.
