first post here just want to say hello! anyway this is my first ever home brew i have researched for months and this is what i have come uo with but i do have a few questions.
first of all i want to make 100g prop and 20g tren ace conversion and this comes out at 1000ml prop with 2% ba and 20% bb 50/50 oil/EO the same for the ace, does this sound ok?

1. i'm thinking of using steircup filtration but dont know anything about it, cant find any info on it all the info is on syring filtering, i know i need a hand or vacume pump do i need whatman filters with it or does it filter through paper or something?

2. are the hand pumps any good or shall i just fork out the extra for a vacume pump.

the only reason im using this system is because i cant see me filtering 1200ml with a syringe.

thanks in advance for your time

The stericup filters have the filter in them already and a hand pump will work fine. You will need to buy a reciever bottle for the filter to filter into or they have ones that already have a plastic reciever bottle connected but I prefer using glass because of the possibilities of the plastic ones cracking.

^ thanks, also i got told that i shouldnt do more than 100ml of prop at a time? cant see the logic in this is it true?

also how do i get the filtered oil into the bottles from the steroicup filter beaker? wont it be exposed to air? making it unterile because sucking up a 1000ml an putting it into vials will take a while

I have first hand experience with EO. It will eat away at the rubber stopper in your vials, the rubber will disintegrate, leaving rubber floaters in your gear. If your making "painless prop" You will find having to re-filter your gear is a pain. Im not opposed to it, but i think a much lower percentage is necessary, maybe 10-20%.

Im also sensitive to EO. In some situations. For instance, when using it with EQ. But not with test 500. I think it has to do with the effects of some gear like EQ.

so you suggeset a lower % of EO? also doesnt the eo need direct contact with the rubber?
any other suggestions on stericup?
thanks

well, unless you doing turn your vial upside down when you draw, i guess your ok. Im just giving you a heads up. Maybe something to thing about.

i dont know anything about stericups.

thanks for the advice, i have a lot of thinking to do

The easiest way to put into the vials would be to buy a dispenser but their pretty expensive.Unless you have a hepa station theres going to be some exposure to the air.You can pour into the vials or you can use a 60ml syringe and do 6 bottles at a time.Just make sure everything is sanitized and try to keep the air exposure to a minimum and you should be ok.

so you mean suck up the oil from the cup and simply inject into the vials? i though the final cup in the filtration system was open to air? does it have a top on it?

You need to buy 45mm pyrex glass media bottles and the 45mm millipore stericup filters and they screw on top of the bottle. The bottles come with tops or you can buy them seperatly. There is no way to avoid having some air exposure unless you have the right lab equipment.
