When I was young my parents didn't have much money, but did the best they could.  I always thought my parents were too strict, compared to how my frieds parents were.  But when I look back on it now, it is a good thing they were, I would have just run wild and ended up in trouble. (I was in enough trouble as it was) All in all, I appreciate my childhood, I didn't get all the fancy clothes and things that a lot of the other kids were wearing, but oh well, I still had a lot of friends.  What sucked is when I was older, my parents had more money and my sister is nine years younger than me.....they bought her a car........oh well.....I am more responsible than she will ever be.....wonder why that is...hehe.

Press the context was defenitly not funny ,but the title I must admit had me crackin up. Thanks.. I so needed that. Im having a shitty butt day. Was just on a troubleshooting call for 2.5 hours and Its still not fixed!!! errrrr

I hear that lunch ticket story bro. I had to get reduced-meal tickets. I use to go get them at the most fucked up times and HOPE TO GOD nobody I knew would see me. I sported some traxx and some Pro Wings in my day too bro. My mom took care of me and my brother for a long time. It sucked but thats probably why I have the things I do now. A lot of really uneccesary shit.
I didn't have my own TV in my room till I was 19...I bought it. My kid..who is 8...has a 27" TV...VCR..Playstation...Playstation2...AND a fukin Nintendo64 in his room. No to mention probably 6k in toys in there. Yeah I know...I spoil him..but you know what?? My kid is never gonna know what I had it like...ever.

Presser be thankful for what you had. I came from a not so wealthy upbrining myself. I didnt have it as bad clothes wise as you but i believe that some of the most down to earth people come from similar situations. I cant stand people who have money and "know" they have money and want everyone else to know it too. Im thnkful now because i got money, but im also very thankful of where i came from, and im pround of all my sibilings who make a good money now, but we learned what hard work can do through this, but mostof all we appreciate it so much better.

You lucky bastards when  was young i had to get up at 6:am work 16 hours a day and for lunch eat a handfull och sand and when i came home to the toxic waste dump we lived in my father killed me and then danced on my grave.
