Time on = time off for igf? Opinions on this

I was just thinking that if you were running say a 24 week cycle for instance you could run 6 weeks or so on the front or even 8 and then maybe 8 weeks at the end to try to hold on to your gains. Just wondering how long you stay off before running it again.

Actually, I am doing something like this giving it a try even though it is my first time using IGF-1

I'm going to be running the IGF-1 for 4 weeks, and continue my prop until I run out, then start up the IGF-1 again PCT with Clomid.. I've read a few things saying Time on/Time off works fine, but I don't know for sure.. Just what I read and what I am currently going to do, so we'll see how it goes.. ;)

I'm going to try this as well. I've run igf pct before but I was unsuccessful in retaining a good bit of my gains. I'm going to run it for half my cycle this time around, then pick it back up pct time. So I wish us both the best!

Let me know how it goes. It was just something that seemed beneficial because you would have the possiblity of hypertrophy then combined with gear, as well as better fat burning at the beginning to give a better body fat level to make better gains. Pct Ive used igf and it made a noticeable difference.

Honestly for me IGF works better in short bouts instead of longer ones...I've notice really good results running it 2 weeks on 2 weeks off..For some reason (to me) I dont feel like (I dont feel like) that the results are as good as the first few days on IGF, then seem to get less and less as the second week goes on...So I like the shorter cycles of IGF vs. longer ones...

Have you tried this during pct (or hrt)?

i think im gonna try that nxt pct

high doses for 2 - 3 weeks... i think in conjunction with hgh it should work quite well

I "feel" the exact same way, but my weights keep going up, but I'm feeling really beat up which I didn't the first 3 weeks. It makes sense. The basis for IGF's functionality is satelite cells. I can see how once the satelite cells have been exhausted IGF's ability to produce hyperplasia would be no more. I'm curious as to how long it takes satelite cells to replenish.

That was kinda like what I was getting at. What is the science behind being off. I know with gear its clearing receptors so I was just wondering the "engine" by which this works a little better.

Anyone know what make igf downgrade after time. I mean chemically explained in simple terms. LOL

It is a peptide... like GH. Its a sequence of amino acids. The structure of the peptide will eventually come apart in solution.

I think he means in terms of why we stop responding as well after time. First, IGF has a feedback loop similar to testosterone in the body so the body recognizes it is from an exogenous source, and second, IGF uses the free nearby satellite cells to create new muscle fibers. You only have so many of them before they get depleted so you have to take time off to generate new ones.

If that wasn't what he asked, then I believe Dude answered the question.

Personally, I take about 4 weeks off between IGF cycles because I respond well to it.

its been a while since i've been on igf. But i think i responded well for an entire 4 months. I remember if i go as high as 100mcg.... its like being on a mild test cycle. -strength, attitude, body weight.... all up.

to all of those, how many days a week did you take it? How many shots per day? I'm wondering if taking it only three times a week would counteract some of that lessening of effects.

Some people take it twice a day, myself only once. I've thought about only using it on heavy training days. But i've got enough right now to last for a while every day.

Way back when I was talking about receptor downgrade not the product. I was really thinking about what mechanism it affects.

In 5 days it will have been 4 weeks off for me. It seems like forever. I guess I'm a junkie. I planned on staying off for 6 weeks then doing 60mcg a day with 1500mg of test, but I swear the 5 bottles in the fridge are talking to me!!! I wish there were some publication showing how long it takes fore the body to accrue the maximum number of satelite cells.

So wat is the longest any of you guys have ran igf.. I think it is the best thing that to this date that I have ever tried..
