I'm on the fence about it... it does look appealing though and he rarely seems to pick roles that are all hype without a solid plot to back it up. So that credibility alone makes me believe it will be good.

I really want to see Travolta's new one!

Meh, Travolta looks like he's trying too hard to be a badass. His bad acting already has me turned off on that movie.

ditto... ^^^^ travolta is not a bad ass.... pulp fiction was cool, but even then he was somewhat of a goof.

my girlfriend is a huge dicaprio fan....needless to say i will be going to the movies to see shutter island tonight....ill let you know how it was cz im going in about 2 hrs

Yeah he did in that one he wasnt trying so hard lol it seemed like it came more naturally then in the others.

I wanna see the new mel gibson movie too.
I think Gibson in Payback was sick he was a badass in that movie.

I wouldnt mind seeing shutter island im not a fan of dickaprio either but it looks interesting for sure.

So was SI bad or what? I heard it got bad reviews...

We saw From Paris with Love the other night. I liked it. It wasn't amazing or anything, but it was action-oriented and had twists you wouldn't expect. Travolta does try a little too hard to be badass, but I still liked it.

"Shutter Island" is a great big bucket of creepy, so steeped in strangeness that if it was any weirder it would be listed by the government as a Class 1 controlled substance. That is not to say it is a good movie. It falls far short of that. But its overripe atmospherics put it in that rare class of failures that can only be made by talented people falling on their face while reaching for the moon.
