only dumbells

Im training with only dumbells right now , slowly buying more and more weight when I can.

So with with squats vs dumbells....

dumbell deadlifts / dumbell squats they seem so similiar im thinking of only doing one which will be the squats because the neutral grip to the side ASS TO GRASS on an elevated area. seems like the way to go rather than in the front.

What are you opinions between the 2 because I see no difference other than in front with palms towards vs sides with palms neutral which does change the weight balance but ass to grass with dumbell squats I see as being pretty much equal.
 
I have tried this in the past, and I'm actually more comfortable, and can use better form with a good bit of weight. At our gym they had a hoop bar so that you can do the neutral palm motion, but still use a shit ton of weight.
 
Thats pretty much how I felt when testing out the differences. Aside from that with the dumbells having them in the front seems like after a good bit of weight , since im using 10lb plates , ..... That it would be kind of awkward so the sides seem like the better choice.

Im just wondering if anybody can explain any differences between the two that would lean towards still doing both since I am working out every other day. So roughly I will do the dumbell squats every...4th day.
