Hello fellas, I have a question...
So I finally decided to put on my lab coat and brew my own gear for the first time. Unfortunately, I think I may have F'd it up...
I was making 50ml of Test Prop at 100mg/ml... The problem is that I couldn't find a glass stirring rod so I thought it would be ok to use a PLASTIC one in stead... But the BB began to melt it... So I think there might still be some plastic suspended in my final product...
It went like this:
I put 1ml of BA, 9ml of BB, and 5g of powder in a beaker (I had the beaker sitting in a frying pan with a lil water almost to boiling point)... I then stuck the plastic stirring rod in there and swirled it around to mix it all up. I probly did about 10 little circles and then took the rod out to see if it looked ok... I could tell that the BA/BB had started to eat up the rod... I then touched it with my finger and it felt sticky... So I set it down and reached for a clean butter knife (stainless steel) since it was the first thing I could think of with in reach. I wiped it with an alcohol swab and finished stirring the mixture... the knife worked well... all the powder was dissolved, then I added the grapeseed oil (fresh out of the oven)... and continued with the whole process, then ran it thru a .45 WHATMAN filter into a sealed, sterile vial...
It has been 48 hrs since I brewed it... So far it has NOT crashed. I do not see any type of debris/flakes/swirls in the oil... I put it up next to a vial of Pharm grade Test Prop that I have left over from my last cycle and it has the same clarity.
MY QUESTION IS:
Do you guys think the plastic (if any) was filtered out by the filter?
Or should I just trash this batch and start a new batch and this time NOT using a damn plastic stirring rod...lol... The plastic rod felt (and still feels) sticky... So I think that since the plastic is "sticky" it would stick to the filter.
I also thought of re-filtering it now that it's at room temperature. When I first filtered it into the vial it was still warm... I took the beaker straight out of the hot water and poured it into a 60ml syringe and ran it thru the filter.
any advice will be greatly appreciated
