Mets released that omar and jerry wont be in their roles next year. Im glad because as a suffering mets fan this change needed to happen. Omar was great at getting off-season free agents or just making a big splash overall in the off season

Just to name some big ones, but dude never EVER brought anyone in at the trading deadline while the mets were still in the hunt. The mets were about 5 games out of the division and 1 game out of the wild card at the trading deadline and he made 0 moves. He thought with selfish Beltran coming back was just like making a trade, but dude never was right and def not the same beltran as in years past.
Jerry is a nice guy, but the mets have had the same manager since 03. Art Howe, Willie Randolph, and now Jerry Manuel are the same exact guy in the dugout. We need some fire, someone who will pull a Billy Martin and walk out to the outfield and pull a guy out of the game for lack of hustle or someone who will get the team fired up. Wally Backman comes to mind...
Lastly if I owned the Mets here are things I would do.
- Cut Maine, Perez, and Castillo asap
- Fine any player who gets booed at home
- Give bonuses to any player who receives a curtain calls and standing ovations
- Bring back Paul LoDuca to be on the coaching staff
- Get David Wright more "Situational" training
